Sichuan Nanchong: 2025 Vocational Education Activity Week Launch Ceremony Held at Gaoping Vocational School

On the afternoon of May 26, 2025, the launch ceremony of the 2025 Vocational Education Activity Week and the vocational education enrollment promotion meeting in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province were successfully held at Gaoping Vocational School.

At 7 p.m. that day, accompanied by exciting drumbeats and music, vocational school students dressed in red and yellow costumes kicked off the event with wonderful performances such as "Dragon Dance" and "Sichuan Opera Face-Changing".

At the event site, a total of 12 teams from 9 county (city, district) education and sports bureaus in the city, provincial and municipal secondary vocational school delegations, higher vocational college delegations, and Nanchong International Vocational Education City respectively made all-round promotions of their overall vocational education situations, development characteristics, professional constructions, skill achievements, and educational teachings.

It is understood that there are currently 4 higher vocational colleges in Nanchong City, 1 provincial "double-high" school project construction unit, 27 secondary vocational schools (including 4 technical colleges and 1 teaching site), 7 national demonstration schools, key schools and provincial demonstration schools, key schools, and 9 municipal key schools; 2 provincial "Three-Star Project" three-star construction schools, with a total of more than 120,000 students. Relevant majors serving industrial development and local characteristics have been set up. At present, vocational colleges in the city have established school-enterprise cooperation relationships with more than 1,000 enterprises, covering multiple aspects such as internship practice, skill training, scientific research innovation, and employment guidance. They have carried out industry-education integration with Sichuan Agricultural University, Giant Star Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd., and the Airport Economic Park; and have carried out in-depth cooperation with regional leading enterprises such as Sanhuan Electronics and Zhongke Jiwei, establishing industrial colleges and offering order classes.

During the promotion meeting, teachers and students from Gaoping Vocational School and other schools presented vocational education skills and style displays such as "Impressions of Jiangdong", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance and Fashion Show", "Bamboo Shadows and Emerald Green: New Postures of Dai Dance", "Dream Building", "Chasing the Light", "Peaches and Plums Never Fail to Blossom in Spring", "Self-Reliance of Our Generation", and "The Stars and the Sea".

The relevant person in charge of Gaoping Vocational School introduced that in recent years, the school has vigorously implemented the "1233345" project (that is, "one goal of cultivating virtue through education", "dual-track class teaching mode", three teaching strategies, "three haves" in the classroom, implementing "three uses", adhering to the integration of posts, courses, competitions and certificates, and five basic skills training for students), further making up for the teaching shortcomings in vocational education and improving the teaching quality.

As of 2025, the Vocational Education Activity Week in Nanchong City has been held for 11 consecutive years. As the organizer, the relevant person in charge of the Gaoping District Education and Sports Bureau introduced that in recent years, Gaoping District has been continuously and forcefully constructing the vocational education system, systematically treating the cultivation of high-quality skilled talents, and precisely exerting efforts in deepening school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration. At present, Gaoping is actively promoting the construction of the International Vocational Education City, focusing on fields such as electronic information and equipment manufacturing, offering majors such as low-altitude economy and cross-border e-commerce, and exploring the training of "order-based" industrial talents.

"Vocational education is employment education and livelihood education. Transform the expectation that vocational education 'can achieve a great deal' into vivid practice of 'achieving remarkable results', and vigorously create a good environment where 'everyone can become talented and everyone can fully display their talents'," said the relevant person in charge of the Nanchong City Education and Sports Bureau. In recent years, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to the development of vocational education, accelerated the construction of the modern vocational education system, trained a large number of professional talents for enterprises and local economic development, and provided a solid talent support for building a "modern regional central city".

It is reported that this year's Vocational Education Activity Week was hosted by the Nanchong City Education and Sports Bureau, organized by the Gaoping District Education and Sports Bureau, and co-organized by Gaoping Vocational School. With the theme of "A Special Skill for a Worry-Free Life", a series of activities such as professional skill displays, vocational education promotions, and the entry of model workers and craftsmen into campuses will be carried out. Taking this opportunity, a wave of vocational education promotions will be set off throughout the city, promoting the formation of a good atmosphere of "advocating special skills", "respecting, learning and enjoying skills", continuously enhancing the social influence and attractiveness of vocational education.
