Sichuan Gaoping: Longmen Big Windmill Kindergarten Holds 2025 Children's Day Gala

June is the fertile soil of childhood, June is the sun of childhood; June is a song of happiness, June is a lively dance. To celebrate the 75th International Children's Day, on May 27, the "Soaring Hearts, Happy Children's Day" Children's Day Gala of Longmen Big Windmill Kindergarten in Gaoping District, Nanchong City was grandly held at Nanchong Normal School. Teachers, students, and parents from the whole kindergarten gathered together. Through singing, dancing, and recitation programs, they showcased the colorful styles of children in the new era and conveyed the warm power of home-school co-education.

The stage radiated childlike innocence, and the programs carried profound meanings. At 3 p.m., the gala kicked off with a speech by Wu Xiu, the deputy principal of the kindergarten. Using the metaphor of "saplings growing towards the sun", she encouraged children to cherish their childhood and expressed gratitude to parents and teachers for their hard work. 

Then, teachers and students from each class and parents took turns performing on stage. The little kids in the small class turned into "Superbaby", interpreting bravery with their childish dance steps; the dance "Miracle Reappearing" in the middle class showed the belief of not being afraid of challenges with an uplifting rhythm; the "Bell-Drum Dance" in the big class combined traditional art with childlike fun and won rounds of applause. The parent program "Planting the Sun" conveyed expectations for the future with a creative arrangement, and the finale dance "Youthful Ambition" by the senior class, with its neat and powerful movements, demonstrated the vigor of "If the youth are strong, the country will be strong".

Education is a "two-way journey" of love and responsibility. Wu Xiu said that education is not only the transfer of knowledge but also the nourishment of the soul. She hoped that through this activity, children could learn gratitude, cooperation, and perseverance in happiness. She specifically mentioned that in recent years, the kindergarten has focused on integrating traditional culture into the curriculum. For example, the Dai ethnic dance "Dai Hat" is the result of children learning about national culture, allowing cultural self-confidence to take root from childhood.

Accompaniment is the best festival gift. In her speech, the parent representative was touched that from the child's first nervous appearance on stage to the current confidence, every bit of growth condenses the teacher's dedication. She admitted that the activity made her realize the importance of accompaniment again. It is not so much celebrating a festival for the child as it is rediscovering our own childlike hearts.

Under the warm perspective, there was an educational resonance. It is worth mentioning that the activity not only focused on the stage but also extended to social care. The parent representative called for attention to left-behind children in her speech, saying "Every child deserves to be loved", which resonated with parents present. Wu Xiu also emphasized that in the future, more public welfare linkages will be explored to make the warmth of education reach a wider group.

The whole activity ended with the teacher recitation "Light of Educating Dreams". Teachers used poetic language to make a promise: "We are willing to be the wings of young eagles, lifting the sun of the future." Just like the "childlike hearts" flashing on the stage background, this Children's Day gala is not only a feast of joy but also a vivid footnote to the concept of home-school co-education.

At the event site, the simple performances of the children moved the audience to tears several times. A teacher said while clapping and whispering, "This is their first stage in life, but it will definitely not be the last."
