The 14th China Shengzhong Lake International Fishing Competition opened in Nanbu County, Sichuan Province

In the golden September of autumn, the mountains by Shengzhong Lake are lush and the lake and sky are blue. On the afternoon of September 26th, the opening ceremony of the 14th China Shengzhong Lake International Fishing Competition was held at Hailuo Square in Shengzhong Lake Scenic Area, Nanbu County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. 1200 fishing athletes from 21 countries and 23 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) in China, as well as more than 7000 on-site spectators, gathered in the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains to participate in the grand event.

At the opening ceremony, relevant leaders from the China Fishing Sports Association and Nanchong Municipal People's Government delivered speeches respectively. The World Fishing Sports Organization awarded the "World Fishing City" honorary plaque to Nanbu County, and athlete representatives and referee representatives took oaths respectively.

It is understood that the preparation for this event is orderly, with tight arrangements for the three core events of pond fishing, reservoir fishing, and boat fishing, and continuous excitement. Prior to the opening event, the National Pool Fishing Competition - "Woding Cup" 2025 Chinese Carp Fishing Elite Competition "Agricultural Investment · Southern to Taste Cup" Sichuan Southern Station was successfully held on September 25-26 at the Shengzhong Lake Standard Competitive Fishing Pool. Zhou Yibo, Zhang Ju, and Yang Yong won the championship, runner up, and third place respectively. After the opening event, two competitions, Ku Diao and Zhou Diao, were launched successively. The National Ku Diao Competition, also known as the 14th China Shengzhong Lake International Fishing Competition, will be held from September 27th to 29th at the core fishing grounds of Shengzhong Lake. The World Boat Fishing Competition, also known as the 2025 China Shengzhong Lake International Boat Fishing Competition, will be held from September 28th to 29th in the waters of Fenghuang Island in Shengzhong Lake.
