Continuing the Long March, tempering the flames of youth, and shouldering responsibilities

In order to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, continue the spirit of the Long March, cultivate the patriotism of young people through national defense education, hone the willpower and character of new students, and cultivate a good academic atmosphere, on October 11th, Nanchong Longmen Middle School held the 2026 New Student Military Training and National Defense Education Mobilization Conference. Tang Bing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the school, Wan Caixia, Chairman of the Trade Union, and Xiang Junyu, a staff officer leading the training unit, attended the meeting. All training instructors, class teachers of the first year of high school, and all 2026 freshmen attended the meeting.

Accompanied by the majestic national anthem, the conference kicked off in a solemn flag raising ceremony.

At the meeting, Wan Caixia read out the military training work plan, coordinated the deployment of training, student management, and service guarantee, and consolidated the system and work foundation for promoting military training safety standards.  

Li Ruixi from Class 1 of Grade 2026 delivered a speech as a representative of the new students. She solemnly stated on behalf of the participating freshmen that she will strictly abide by military training discipline, obey dispatch, resolutely complete training tasks, unite collective strength, temper resilient character, and internalize it as the spiritual foundation for learning and growth.

Xiang Junyu expressed his stance on behalf of the training instructor. He stated that all instructors will abide by the training guidelines, adhere to scientific, civilized, and safe training, be strict and compassionate, teach according to rules, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of military training. At the same time, clear behavioral requirements are put forward for participating students from five dimensions: participation attitude, organizational discipline, willpower cultivation, team collaboration, and training safety.

Tang Bing delivered a mobilization speech. He interpreted the practical and educational connotation of military training based on the spirit of the Long March, pointing out that military training is not simply physical training in queues, but rather a national defense education classroom that hones discipline and style, forges willpower and character, and cultivates patriotism. He encouraged all the freshmen to strictly abide by discipline and rules, implement orders and prohibitions, and transform the military training style into a conscious action in daily learning and life; Secondly, we must continue the spirit of fearless struggle during the Long March and face the difficulties and tests on the road to high school learning; Thirdly, we must have a broad vision for our country and aspirations, and integrate our personal ideals into the tide of the times' development, growing into young people of the new era who shoulder the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.

The convening of this mobilization meeting marks the comprehensive start of military training for the 2026 freshmen in the school. This military training integrates military skills training, infiltration of red spirit, and popularization of national defense concepts, and will comprehensively cultivate the physical fitness, behavioral habits, and collectivism spirit of new students in all aspects.
