First Science and Technology Festival Brings "Magic" to Campus

On May 28th, the first Science and Technology Magic Party of the Experimental Kindergarten in Yingshan County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, was held in a novel and exciting way. The event, themed "Future Visionaries · Metaverse Fairy Tale Season," featured 24 scientific experiments across 8 categories, including electromagnetism, thermodynamics, motion, and mechanics. It sparked a strong sense of curiosity and thirst for knowledge about natural science among the children. Through observation, learning, collaboration, and hands-on practice, the children acquired knowledge in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

At the entrance of the kindergarten, various science and innovation handicrafts made by the children were neatly displayed. Models such as robots and rockets were vivid and highly creative, attracting parents and children to stop and take photos.

"Everyone, come and see the power of the air cannon!" A teacher aimed the air cannon at a row of paper cups, pressed the launch button, and the powerful airflow instantly knocked down the paper cups, drawing excited exclamations from the children.

After watching the teachers' demonstration, the children eagerly approached the experiment tables to explore the endless mysteries of force and electricity, water and fire.

"Why does the battery keep running inside the copper tube?" Luo Ziling, a child from the senior class, curiously asked. The teacher explained that it was because the electromagnetic field generated power, allowing the battery to keep moving. "Our maglev trains are made using this principle."

"I built a bridge with sticks, and several bottles of water couldn't collapse it. If I use thicker wood to build the bridge, can it be used for people to walk on?" "Amazing, this electric light keeps chasing my finger!" The children shared their thoughts and expressed their desire to explore the unknown world.

"Through observation, experimentation, and hands-on activities, the children have improved their observation skills, practical abilities, and teamwork spirit. They have fully experienced the charm of scientific experiments and been inspired to explore the natural world," said Wang Wen, the principal of the Experimental Kindergarten in Yingshan County.
