Three-line Poems for Teachers: A Long Ode of Gratitude in the Season of Ink and Cicadas
In the season when the fragrance of ink mingles with the approaching chorus of cicadas, and "5·25" meets "5·20", the theme confession activity "Three-line Poems to Pay Tribute to Teachers" organized by Nanchong Longmen Middle School in Sichuan Province kicked off gracefully. This poetic invitation, initiated by the School Mental Health Guidance Center, was like seeds scattered inadvertently, quietly blooming thousands of sentences of gratitude in the hearts of students. In just one week, numerous excellent works filled with warmth were collected.
Time was folded into the rhythm of meter and rhyme. With words as needles and memories as threads, the students embroidered unique silhouettes of their teachers. Some ingeniously incorporated the teachers' names into the poems, adding a unique charm; some skillfully applied subject characteristics, making the meaning clear at a glance; some combined deep affection with cuteness, with love leaping off the paper; others spared no effort to recount the touching moments in their hearts... "Longing is a colorful book like genes, loneliness spreads like a virus. I write my love into nucleic acid probes and bury it deep in your replication origin." "The peach blossoms are brilliant in the spring light, the autumn mood is thick with longing. Standing gracefully like a lotus dancing in the wind, you make my heart skip a beat and hard to forget." These verses flowing from the depths of the soul allowed teachers and students to reunite in the lines of poetry with those tenderly upheld times.
When the last line of the poem was finalized, the ink not only precipitated the deep affection between teachers and students but also the moving echo of cultural inheritance. May this poetic journey turn into an ever-burning candle, allowing gratitude and respect to shine eternally in the galaxy of words, continuing to illuminate the path for more people to express love.
The School Mental Health Guidance Center introduced that the "Three-line Poems" activity has been carried out for many years and has received high praise. As a regular project of the "525" theme activities, it was specially chosen to be held on May 20th, aiming to let teachers experience the sweetness of being loved and to teach students how to express emotions through art. This is indeed a vivid practice of "educating the heart with five aspects of aesthetic education".
