Craftsmanship in Education: Nurturing Growth with Professional Dedication
On May 7th, the 2025 High School Mental Health Education Quality Class Exhibition and Evaluation Activity in Gaoping District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, came to a close. Zuo Xiangxiang, a mental health teacher from Nanchong No. 11 Middle School, stood out among eight contestants from the district with her outstanding performance in the psychology class "Career Exploration: I Will Climb to the Summit Through the Snow" and won the first prize. This achievement fully demonstrated the professional quality and innovative practice ability of the school's mental health education team.
The quality class exhibition and evaluation activity was hosted by the Gaoping District Education and Sports Bureau, focusing on the cultivation of students' psychological quality and the improvement of classroom teaching effectiveness. The comprehensive assessment was conducted through teaching design, classroom presentation, student feedback, and on - site class evaluation. In the classroom, Teacher Zuo compared the three - year high school life to mountain climbing. Through psychological painting, she guided students to anticipate the challenges and opportunities they might encounter in high school and find ways to deal with them. The classroom atmosphere was lively, and the students' participation was extremely high.
"The award is a recognition and an encouragement," Teacher Zuo Xiangxiang said after the competition. "Mental health education is not the Infusion of knowledge, but a dialogue of life. In the future, I will continue to learn and expand my professional knowledge and ability to help students build their inner strength." The achievement was made possible by the continuous advancement of the school's "all - staff mental health education" concept. In recent years, Nanchong No. 11 Middle School has built a three - dimensional mental health service system of "prevention - development - intervention" by uniting families, schools, and communities.
Nanchong No. 11 Middle School will take this award as an opportunity to further develop the school's mental health education curriculum, continuously innovate, and work with all parties to continue to support the healthy growth of students. (By Zuo Xiangxiang and He Ruiqi)
