In order to enable children to explore happily and always keep safety in mind in the new semester, Qingpingguo Xiaolong Kindergarten in Gaoping District, Nanchong City has launched a unique "Safety First Lesson" activity based on the cognitive characteristics of children of different age groups, building a "safety defense line" for their healthy growth.

In the activity class, teachers transform into "safety guardians" and use scenarios, animated short films, nursery rhymes, and other popular methods to make abstract safety knowledge concrete and easy to understand.

Preventing viruses is also a key focus of safety classes. The teacher explains the dangers of viruses through picture books and demonstrates the correct hand washing method - the seven step washing technique. Wash your hands before and after meals, and cover your mouth with your elbow when sneezing. These hygiene tips are deeply engraved in children's minds in a relaxed atmosphere.

Traffic safety education is also essential. Teachers lead children to recognize signs such as traffic lights and zebra crossings, and learn the mnemonic of "stop at red lights, go at green lights, wait when yellow lights are on". The children also transformed into "traffic guardians", practicing safe crossing on simulated roads and experiencing the importance of following traffic rules.

In terms of electrical safety, the teacher combined pictures and class objects to tell the children not to play with sockets or touch power sources, and explained the principle of not touching electrical appliances with wet hands, so that the children understand the danger of electricity.

The teacher uses short videos to educate children about the dangers of forest fires, telling them not to play with fire in the forest and to promptly inform adults when they see others playing with fire. This cultivates a sense of "forest fire prevention is everyone's responsibility" in young minds.

The teacher used the picture book 'My Body' to guide children to recognize their own private parts of the body, telling them that 'the areas covered by vests and underwear should not be touched by others'. If you encounter uncomfortable contact, be brave enough to say "no" and immediately tell your parents or teacher. Through simple and easy to understand explanations, children have learned to respect their bodies, seek help, and enhance their awareness of self-protection.

The teacher guides children to express their feelings through reading emotional picture books together. And tell the children that if they have an argument, they can discuss and solve it together In relaxed interactions, children learn to handle emotions in a positive way.
