Sichuan Gaoping: Government Kindergarten Holds Special Seminar on Children's Mental Health Education

On May 7th, in order to enhance teachers' attention to and guidance capabilities for children's mental health and to promote the healthy development of children's body and mind, the Gaoping District Government Kindergarten in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, organized a special seminar on "Children's Mental Health Education" for all teachers.

Watching Mental Health Education Videos to Enhance Awareness

At the beginning of the activity, all teachers watched a children's mental health education video titled "Spreading Sunshine in the Heart and Caring for Young Souls." The video, combined with vivid examples, explained the manifestations and causes of common psychological problems in children, such as separation anxiety, social phobia, and emotional regulation disorders, helping teachers to more intuitively understand the characteristics of children's psychological development. After watching the video, the teachers actively shared their insights and expressed that they would pay more attention to children's daily behavior and emotional changes in order to detect and intervene early.

At the seminar, Wang Binzhu, the kindergarten's psychological counselor, conducted a detailed analysis of the recent children's psychological assessment results. Through data comparison and case interpretation, she sorted out the common and individual issues of children in each class in terms of emotional management, interpersonal communication, and adaptability. The teachers discussed the assessment results and, based on the psychological characteristics of children of different age groups, developed more targeted education plans to ensure that mental health education is effectively implemented.
