Red Genes Nourish Young Hearts and Cultural Heritage Aids Growth
In order to implement the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and deepening the effectiveness of practical education, from April 22nd to 23rd, Nanchong No.11 Middle School Affiliated Primary School organized students from grades 1 to 6 to conduct themed study tours in Langzhong and Yilong, respectively. Through immersive experiences of red culture and traditional culture, the students were guided to deepen their national sentiment and inherit cultural roots in a mobile classroom.
Continuing the Red Bloodline and Sensing Cultural Charm
On April 22nd, students from grades 1 to 3 first visited the Langzhong Martyrs' Cemetery. Amidst the dark pines and cypresses, the children stood in solemn silence, listening to the commentator recounted the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs.Subsequently, the teachers and students headed to the China Traditional Culture Expo City, where they experienced intangible cultural heritage performances and traditional craft activities, getting up close and personal with the ancient city's millennia-old cultural heritage. In the tie-dye workshop, the children operated by themselves, experiencing the traditional art of tie-dyeing; in the silk culture exhibition hall, the intricate Shu embroidery patterns left them in awe. "Our hometown has so many treasures!" exclaimed Chen Junyu, a second-grade student.
Tracing the Marshal's Footsteps and Tasting the Ancient Town's Charm
On April 23rd, students from grades 4 to 6 embarked on a study tour to the "Hometown of Marshals." At the Zhu De Memorial Hall in Yilong, the students systematically learned about Marshal Zhu De's life journey from a young man to the Commander-in-Chief of the Red Army through precious cultural relics, historical images, and scene reconstructions. In his study tour notes, sixth-grade student Fu Yafei wrote, "Marshal Zhu's oath of 'revolution to the end' has taught me that persistence is the key to success." The afternoon study tour in Zhouzi Ancient Town was filled with the charm of everyday life. On the bluestone roads, the children watched the making of twisted dough sticks and tasted handmade tofu skins.
This study tour, themed "Red Soul-Casting and Cultural Nourishment," organically integrated revolutionary tradition education with traditional culture education through tiered design and dual-track implementation, offering the students a vivid "mobile ideological and political class." Younger students touched the cultural pulse of their hometown through immersive experiences, while older students sensed their historical mission at the intersection of history and reality, achieving a resonance in knowledge expansion, emotional connection, and value guidance. The school will continue to deepen the practice of "five-education integration," using study tours as a bridge to guide students to draw strength from red genes and build confidence in cultural heritage, striving to grow into idealistic, competent, and responsible new-era youth.
