Electricity Powers Spring Plowing, Painting a Picture of Bountiful Harvest
As spring returns to the earth and farming season beckons, the State Grid Yingshan County Power Supply Company, adhering to the principle of "electricity first," is coordinating equipment inspection, technological empowerment, and convenient services to ensure the safe and reliable use of electricity for agricultural production, injecting strong momentum into rural revitalization.
In the fields of Sanxi Village, Luoshi Town, Yingshan County, Sichuan, a team of volunteer service members in red vests are particularly busy. Armed with detection equipment, they move between agricultural machinery and irrigation facilities, conducting a "dragnet-style" inspection of the power lines, transformers, water pumps, and other equipment used for spring plowing. They also disseminate knowledge of safe electricity usage to villagers and promptly eliminate potential hazards.
Villager Wu Xianming remarked, "The demand for electricity in mechanized farming is high. The power supply company not only frequently inspects the equipment but also teaches us safety knowledge hands-on. During the spring plowing season, they come even more often, making electricity use worry-free and reliable!"
Statistics show that during the spring plowing period, the company has cumulatively eliminated 18 potential electricity hazards, conducted safety publicity for over 300 individuals, and provided 87 free technical assistance sessions, covering multiple villages and towns across the county.
To address the challenge of surging electricity load during the spring plowing season, the company has adopted a dual inspection mode of "manual patrol + machine patrol." In Yanma Village, where rapeseed flower fields are dense, drones hover above the 10-kilovolt power lines, accurately identifying potential hazards such as insulator contamination and lightning strike marks on the towers. Meanwhile, ground staff carry out infrared temperature measurement and partial insulation treatment on distribution transformers and switchgear. "Drones can quickly cover complex terrain, and combined with manual inspection, they leave no room for hidden dangers to hide," said Tang Xin, a staff member. Currently, the company has completed a comprehensive "health check" on more than 10 spring plowing dedicated lines and over 40 distribution transformers, guiding farmers to rectify 15 potential hazards. In response to the frequent spring winds, the company will also focus on clearing line corridors and windproof reinforcement to ensure stable power grid operation.
"Electricity supply is the 'lifeline' of spring plowing," said Zhu Qilin, the Party Committee Secretary and Deputy General Manager of State Grid Yingshan County Power Supply Company. The company has formulated a special power supply guarantee plan, with township power supply stations as the base, forming specialized teams to implement a segmented responsibility system for agricultural drainage and irrigation lines, ensuring that faults are detected and handled in the shortest possible time. In addition, by setting up a 24-hour service hotline, conducting "spring plowing electricity classrooms," and organizing mobile service stations, the company extends its agricultural-friendly services to farmers' doorsteps, truly delivering "convenient electricity" and "reliable electricity" to the fields.
From the red vests of Party members running along the ridges to drones soaring over the wheat waves, State Grid Yingshan County Power Supply Company is driving the hope of a bountiful harvest for thousands of households with a dual engine of technology and service, painting a bright background color for rural revitalization across the vast fields.
