Iron Discipline Forms the "Solid Support" for the Development of Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College

On the morning of April 11, the in-depth study and education class for leading cadres on the spirit of the Central Eight Provisions of the Communist Party of China was inaugurated at the third-floor meeting room of Duboxue Building, Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College. The class was hosted by Chen Yonglong, the Party Committee Secretary of the school, who also delivered a speech. Nearly 50 leading cadres from the entire school attended the opening ceremony and the study session.

At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Chen Yonglong delivered the opening mobilization speech. He emphasized that this study class is an important measure for the school's Party committee to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and deepen the construction of work style. All leading cadres should take the spirit of the Central Eight Provisions as a benchmark, closely follow the general requirements of "learning ideas, strengthening Party spirit, focusing on practice, and building new achievements," and combine the actual work of the school's Party committee to effectively transform the results of theoretical study into practical actions to promote the school's high-quality development. He called on the participants to have the courage to examine problems with "self-criticism" and to maintain discipline with the perseverance of "always being on the way," providing a solid guarantee for the school to build a clean campus and serve local development.

During the meeting, Zou Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, focused on interpreting the core meanings of the discourses on "coordinating ecological protection with rural revitalization" and "solidifying the consciousness of the Chinese nation as a community." He also led the participants in an in-depth analysis of the profound connotations of "the Party's work style is related to the hearts of the people and the success or failure of the Party and the state's cause," emphasizing that leading cadres should take the lead in promoting the Party's glorious traditions and lead the construction of school, teaching, and learning styles with good Party conduct.

The meeting organized all participants to study the spirit of the Central Eight Provisions and its detailed implementation rules, and collectively watched the third episode of the warning education special film "Always Blowing the Bugle," titled "Iron Discipline and Hard Barriers." The film, through the analysis of typical cases, exposed the hidden and mutated problems that violate the Central Eight Provisions, warning Party members and cadres to strictly abide by the disciplinary red lines. The participants unanimously expressed that they would take the cases as a mirror, prevent and eliminate problems at their early stages, resolutely resist the "four malpractices" issues, and achieve awareness, caution, and adherence to the bottom line.

"The opening ceremony was content-rich and thought-provoking; it was not only a theoretical recharge but also a tempering of Party spirit," said Cheng Shudi, assistant dean of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing at the school, after the meeting. "We will take the 'bugle' as an order and transform iron discipline into daily habits, demonstrating new actions in educational management and student service."

It is understood that this study class will deepen the learning effect through forms such as centralized study, special lectures, group discussions, and field research. The Party committee of the school requires all leading cadres to take this study as an opportunity, focus on issues of concern to teachers and students, and carry out self-examination and correction in key areas such as school construction, enrollment and employment, teaching management, and logistics services, promoting the formation of a long-term mechanism of "learning rules, strictly maintaining work style, and handling practical affairs."
