Field Training Displays Elegance, National Defense Education Forges Backbone

To promote the spirit of patriotism and cultivate a spirit of enduring hardship, at 13:00 on December 17th, an urgent assembly whistle sounded the call for the winter field training of Nanchong Transportation Technical School.

In order to successfully complete the training mission, the school held a special meeting, arranging for the student affairs department to organize personnel to repeatedly simulate the start time, training route, and logistical support, developing a detailed implementation plan and preparing sufficient food, medicine, and other supplies to make full preparations for the training.

To boost morale, before departure, the head of the student affairs department, Tang Wei, gave a passionate motivational speech. She stated that this is a journey to get close to nature, a path for youth to grow, and a road for the enrichment of the soul, which will also be an unforgettable experience. Director Tang's speech inspired fighting spirit and urged people to forge ahead. Students expressed their determination to carry forward the spirit of enduring pain and hardship without falling behind, shedding blood and sweat but not tears, and being fearless of hardship and exhaustion to complete the training.

Upon a whistle, the "young warriors" of the 2023 and 2024 National Defense classes began their long "Long March." Each student carried bedding and drinking water in their backpacks. Some classes carried simulated Type 95 rifles, some carried batons and shields, and others carried emergency sticks, essentially reaching a fully armed level. The students braved the cold wind, marched with firm steps, followed the rhythm of youth, shouted sonorous slogans, and their youthful faces were filled with fearless smiles. From a distance, the fluttering flags, neat ranks, and the team resembled a dragon winding along the road into the distance, with loud口号s echoing in the air. Although the journey was long and the weather was cold, the students maintained high morale and an optimistic attitude, helping and supporting each other to move forward together. To inspire the students, everyone shouted slogans, sang military songs, and played music along the way to relax and relieve fatigue. Stronger students took the initiative to help weaker ones, fully demonstrating a spirit of unity, friendship, and mutual assistance.

The mountain roads, winding paths, and urban roads provided a realistic military march experience. During the training, suddenly, red fog filled the air, signaling an enemy attack. Students took cover on the spot. When crossing a toxic barrier area, everyone immediately moistened towels with their water bottles and covered their mouths and noses, bending over and moving forward in an orderly and rapid manner. Instructors and teachers quickly organized the students to march quickly and evacuate urgently. They managed to stay calm and respond quickly in emergencies. After arriving at the assembly point, they organized military performances such as baton and shield drills, emergency stick techniques, and individual soldier hand-to-hand combat movements. The students cooperated seamlessly, moved skillfully, were spirited, and had high morale, winning high praise from the onlookers.

After five hours of arduous trekking and high-intensity drills, the training team returned to campus exhausted but with high fighting spirit. Although their clothes were soaked with sweat and their faces covered with dust, the students' eyes shone with determination, and their posture remained as upright as a pine. This training activity was not only a physical challenge but also a comprehensive national defense education baptism. The students truly experienced the hardships of military marches and combat, deepening their sense of mission for national defense, and the awareness of discipline and team spirit was deeply imprinted in their hearts, becoming a strong internal driving force for future learning and training. The participating students said that this training activity had improved their military literacy and psychological endurance. They will continue to work hard in their future studies and life to create their own beautiful future.
