2025 Sichuan "100 Travel Agencies into Nanchong (Northeast Sichuan)" Event Launched in Nanchong
On April 15, Nanchong City in Sichuan Province welcomed a key moment in the development of its culture and tourism industry. The "Sichuan at Ease · Enjoying Tianshu" 2025 Sichuan "100 Travel Agencies into Nanchong (Northeast Sichuan)" event, co-hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Nanchong Municipal People's Government, was officially launched by the Jialing River. The event gathered over 280 representatives from the culture and tourism sectors of five provinces and cities (Sichuan, Chongqing, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia), injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of culture and tourism in Northeast Sichuan through policy incentives, resource integration, and cross-regional cooperation.
Wang Chengping, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended the event and delivered a speech. Zou Jian, a second-level inspector of the department, also attended the event and witnessed the signing ceremony with other relevant leaders.
The culture and tourism departments of Nanchong, Guang'an, Bazhong, Guangyuan, and Dazhou successively took the stage to promote their unique cultural and tourism resources and preferential policies. Guang'an focused on red tourism and ecological health care, Bazhong showcased the unique charm of the "Guangwushan - Nuoshuihe" World Geopark, Dazhou highlighted the core of the Ba culture relics, Guangyuan re-enacted the grandeur of the Shu Road at Jiayuguan, and Nanchong launched the "Kailai Fu" themed route, integrating the 800-year history of silk with the 2000-year civilization of the Jialing River, centered around "Three Kingdoms Culture," "Silk Origin," and "Langzhong Ancient City."
The cultural and tourism resources of Northeast Sichuan, like scattered pearls, need to be connected through routes to form a new pattern of integrated tourism. At the event, the Sichuan Travel Agency Association released eight cross-regional high-quality tourism routes, covering more than 20 scenic spots, including the hometown of Deng Xiaoping, Langzhong Ancient City, Jiayuguan, and Bashan Grand Canyon, creating a deep experience of "one journey, multiple scenes."
To attract domestic and international travel agencies to bloodletting, Nanchong City launched the "Attracting Visitors to Nanchong" reward policy, which includes three incentives: "Basic Award," "Step Award," and "Short Video Dissemination Award." According to the policy, travel agencies will be rewarded 20 yuan for each visitor from outside the city, with an additional 10 yuan if the visitor stays overnight. Enterprises that organize more than 10,000 to 100,000 visitors in a year can receive step awards ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 yuan. The short video dissemination award will be selected quarterly, with the top five most influential ones receiving rewards ranging from 3,000 to 500 yuan each.
A person in charge of the Nanchong Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau said that the policy aims to transform "traffic" into "visitor flow," ultimately forming a brand effect. A representative of a travel agency from Chongqing calculated on the spot: "If we organize 50,000 visitors, the basic award alone will exceed one million yuan, and the profit margin will be significantly increased with the step award."
During the event, more than 50 institutions, including key cultural and tourism enterprises in Northeast Sichuan, major travel agencies from neighboring provinces and cities, and leading enterprises within the province, completed the signing, covering the entire chain of cooperation in product research and development, marketing promotion, study travel, and artistic performances.
To consolidate the foundation of cooperation, the organizers arranged for representatives to visit key projects such as the World Silk Origin Museum in Gaoping District, night tours of the Jialing River, and Langzhong Ancient City. A person in charge of a scenic area said, "The combination of the Three Kingdoms Culture Industrial Park and the natural scenery of Guangwushan will form a compound attraction of 'human culture + ecology.'"
The event also set up a special exhibition area for Northeast Sichuan's characteristic tourism products, with more than 20 booths showcasing the five cities' intangible cultural heritage products, cultural and creative products, and local specialties. From Nanchong silk products to Bazhong yam, the dazzling exhibits showcased the regional cultural and tourism characteristics, attracting travel agencies and citizens to stop and experience.
In addition, Northeast Sichuan puppet shows and other folk performances became highlights of the event. The organizers live-streamed the entire event through more than 10 platforms, including "Charming Guang'an," "Dazhou Observation," and "Nanchong Culture and Tourism Douyin," with online viewers exceeding 2.6 million and enthusiastic interaction from netizens. A travel agency representative from Shaanxi exclaimed, "Integrating puppet shows into tourism routes can not only bring culture to life but also enhance tourists' participation."
After the signing ceremony, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism organized a special training session focusing on travel agencies' lawful and honest business operations, transformation and development, safety management, and product innovation. Experts pointed out that current tourism demand is shifting from "sightseeing" to "experiential," and the industry needs to strengthen customized services and themed product research and development while strictly adhering to safety and integrity.
This event, through policy incentives, resource integration, cross-regional cooperation, and diverse displays, has set a new benchmark for the coordinated development of culture and tourism in Northeast Sichuan. Northeast Sichuan needs to focus on "large regions, large markets, and large brands," promoting the parallel excavation of culture and innovation in forms, and emphasizing both policy support and market drive.
As the "Kailai Fu" states: "The sun and the moon shine together, and the earth gives birth to divine beauty." This spring event, with its practice of "each beauty in its own way, and all beauties together," is painting a new picture of high-quality development for Northeast Sichuan's culture and tourism.
