Planting Greenery, Building the Future Together

With the arrival of the 47th Arbor Day, Nanchong Longmen Middle School in Sichuan Province organized a themed educational activity titled "Planting Greenery, Building the Future Together" for teachers and students. Led by the school's Executive Principal Zhang Limei, Vice Principals Zhou Yong and Zhang Hongbo, Trade Union Chairperson Wan Caixia, and Youth League officials, representatives of teachers and students wielded shovels and planted nearly a hundred peach and plum trees in the school's labor practice base, injecting vibrant vitality into the campus's ecological civilization construction.

Planting a Sapling, Embracing the Wisdom of Education

"Every tree is a metaphor for the future; only by taking deep roots can it grow upwards," said Principal Zhang Limei at the labor site. She integrated the wisdom of tree planting with education, addressing the teachers and students: "Planting a tree is like nurturing a person. It requires not only watering and fertilizing but also pruning and shaping. I hope that through this labor, students can understand the true meaning of growth and let their youth flourish alongside the greenery."

Fulfilling a Responsibility, Writing a Youthful Answer

At the event site, young members of the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers formed "mutual aid teams." Under the guidance of professional horticulturists, they divided tasks and worked together: digging holes with shovels, holding saplings upright, and filling the holes with soil. Qin Feng, an outstanding Young Pioneer from Class 2, Grade 7, gently touched the tree she had planted and said, "I planted this tree in my first year of junior high school. It will accompany us through six years of middle school and witness every step we take to fulfill our green commitment."

As the spring breeze caresses the newly planted saplings, from a single tree to a forest, from a touch of green to a spring of ten thousand miles, the students of Longmen Middle School are writing a green epic for the new era with their hands-on efforts.
