English Charm Soars, Vocabulary Showcases Elegance

One stroke, one word, accumulates like jade bricks, building high platforms for the future. To promote the comprehensive development of students' core literacy, stimulate students' interest in learning English, enrich students' campus life, and enhance students' ability to write English words, while also providing a platform for students to showcase themselves and learn from each other, the 9th "Yangde Cup" English Vocabulary Spelling Contest was grandly held in the junior high department of Nanchong No. 11 Middle School on the afternoon of December 18.

English, as the universal language of international communication, its importance is self-evident. Words, as the cornerstones of language construction, are a threshold that every English learner must cross. In junior high, the best stage for English to take root and develop, the importance of memorizing English vocabulary cannot be overlooked.

For this contest, the junior high English teaching and research group, fully considering the age characteristics and learning interests of students from all grades, determined the spelling content and the competition format that emphasizes both fun and challenge after several discussions. From the preliminary to the final rounds, from the single-word elimination strategy to the final round's revival and help privileges, multiple formats and competition systems make the event tense and thrilling, yet full of fun!

Looking around, pens are flying like dragons in all directions, and with a light smile, confidence is written on their faces. Listen, write, check, display, fail, succeed, leave, stay, as the number of contestants on the field decreases, the competition enters a critical moment. The audience also holds their breath, quietly cheering for the contestants, and the entire venue is filled with a strong competitive atmosphere. You write, I follow, no word is left behind, no opportunity is missed. "Tai Mountain does not refuse soil, hence it can be great," every stroke laid down is the foundation for win a championship!

Accumulate a spoonful to form rivers, and gather dust to build high mountains. It is difficult to act, yet we act despite the difficulty; the result is sweet, and we will surely bring sweetness back! After three rounds of fierce competition, the following outstanding award-winning students were selected from the three grades of junior high.

This English vocabulary spelling contest not only enriched the campus cultural life but also created a strong English learning atmosphere across the school, further stimulating students' enthusiasm and initiative to learn English, laying a solid foundation for future English learning.
