Aggregate strength to protect growth, build defense lines, and ensure safety

On the afternoon of May 11th, Longmen Middle School in Nanchong, Sichuan Province, held the first joint meeting on key youth group care services and safe campus construction in 2026 to thoroughly implement the deployment of provincial and municipal protection of minors and safe campus construction, improve the collaborative governance mechanism between families, schools, social police, and enterprises, and accurately implement key youth care and assistance measures. Executive Principal Zhang Limei attended the meeting and delivered a concluding speech. The heads of functional departments such as Longmen Street Office, Longmen Police Station, Gaoping District Fire Rescue Bureau, and Market Supervision Longmen Office in Gaoping District, as well as representatives of Jiafang Group, various departments of the school, outsourcing service teams, and parents invited by the school and enterprise, attended the conference. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Zhang Jianwei.

At the meeting, attendees focused on studying the spirit of recent safety work conferences and watched a special video on campus safety and youth care warning education. The person in charge of the security department interprets the school's "Work Plan for Caring for Key Youth Groups" and "Implementation Plan for the 12th National Action Plan for Safe Campus Construction", clarifying work objectives, task division, and implementation details.

Vice President Zhang Jianwei comprehensively reviewed the effectiveness of the school's early protection of minors, assistance to key youth, and construction of a safe campus. He objectively analyzed the shortcomings and weaknesses in the current professional care force, family school social linkage, and campus surrounding governance. He also reported the bottom line of the school's six key youth categories and proposed the next steps of work ideas and local coordination demands.

In the exchange and discussion session, each participating unit, based on their own functions, conducted in-depth exchanges on key topics such as targeted assistance for young people, campus risk prevention and control, comprehensive management of the surrounding environment, legal and safety education, food safety supervision, and investigation of fire hazards. They provided suggestions and reached consensus on multi-party linkage, co governance, and sharing.

Principal Zhang Limei delivered a concluding speech. She emphasized that the protection of minors and the construction of safe campuses are bottom line projects and livelihood projects, and are not unilateral work of schools. It is necessary for all parties to establish a "one game" mentality. She demanded that firstly, we should elevate our political stance, consolidate consensus on co governance, and incorporate youth care and campus safety into the normalized key work; Secondly, we must adhere to a problem oriented approach, target and fill in the gaps, break down departmental information barriers, and improve dynamic control mechanisms; We must focus on tackling key challenges, and implement four major actions: precise investigation, classified care, safety rectification, and collaborative governance; We must establish a sound long-term mechanism, implement regular joint work, regular assessment, information sharing, and emergency linkage systems, and strengthen the responsibilities of all parties involved. She hopes to work together with various functional departments and all sectors of society to continuously empower and build a comprehensive and three-dimensional campus safety protection network, and safeguard the healthy growth of young people with care and emotion.

The convening of this joint meeting has further clarified the work ideas, consolidated work responsibilities, and opened up channels for linkage. The school will further strictly implement the "Twelve Major Actions" and various measures for caring for key young people, continue to deepen the coordination between families, schools, social police, and enterprises, carry out regular hidden danger investigation, precise assistance, and safety education, and make every effort to build a safe, harmonious, and rule of law campus to safeguard the growth of young people.
