The final of the 16th "Reading History in the Mood for Life" Historical Drama Script Creation and Excellent Historical Drama Exhibition Competition in Nanchong City was successfully held

On the evening of May 24th at 7 o'clock, the final of the 16th "Reading History in the Mood for Love" Historical Drama Script Creation and Excellent Historical Drama Exhibition Competition in Nanchong City was held at the first phase of the Huafeng Campus Concert Hall of our school. Zhang Chao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Xihua Normal University, attended the event.

In his speech, Zhang Chao expressed sincere gratitude to the Nanchong Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, which has provided careful guidance for the competition for a long time, as well as the teachers and students who have fully invested in the competition. He fully affirmed the positive role of historical drama performances in talent cultivation and cultural inheritance, and hoped that students would deepen their learning of historical knowledge from the three dimensions of "reading history for virtue", "reading history for wisdom", and "reading history for action", inherit historical culture, and bravely shoulder historical missions.

The exhibition kicked off with the wonderful performance of 'Intangible Cultural Heritage of Shu Style, Great Beauty Changing Face'. Southwest Petroleum University's "The Long March: Mount Jiajin" showcases the unity spirit of the cooking team crossing the snow capped mountains from the perspective of veterans' memories; The "Danxin Kangjie" brought by the Historical Society has shaped Yu Qian's loyalty and loyalty to the enemy, as well as his use of the "Lime Ode" to express his aspirations; The "Yishui Banqiao" brought by our university's art troupe vividly interprets the great national righteousness in the heroic feat of "human bridge" during the war era; The music and dance academy brings the musical "Years Offering Mountains and Rivers", which portrays the war and separation between newlyweds and their wives through musical theater; The "Shi Meng Fu Gui" brought by the School of History and Culture reproduces Su Shi's tragic and beautiful love of "ten years of life and death"; The "Bashan Night Debate" brought by the School of Journalism and Communication depicts the wise image of educator Wu Feibai who sticks to his original intention. This competition features multi-dimensional artistic performances that immerse the audience and leave an unforgettable impression.

After fierce competition, "Yishui Banqiao" won the first place; Shi Mengfu Returning "and" Years Offering Mountains and Rivers "won the second prize; The works "Night Debate in Bashan", "Long March Road: Jiajin Mountain", and "Danxin Resistance Festival" won third prize.

This competition not only presented a thrilling audio-visual feast for the audience, but also deepened students' understanding of historical emotional connotations and enhanced cultural confidence.

The judges for this competition are Peng Wenjie, the head of the Art Department of Nanchong Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Sun Li, a national second-class actor, vice chairman of Nanchong Dramatists Association, and member of the Chinese Theatre Directors Art Association, and Cao Jun, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of Xihua Normal University.
