Integrating Industry Needs and Cultivating Talents for the Future

On the morning of April 28, Vice President He Weidong of Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College, together with all faculty and students of the Intelligent Manufacturing College, gathered in the second-floor multifunctional hall of the Arts and Culture Center to participate in a meaningful lecture on the integration of industry and education. The lecture, themed "Cultivating the 'Song Yingxing' of the New Era with the Spirit of Lei Feng," was delivered by Zeng Hui, the chairman of Huirun Group.

At the beginning of the lecture, Chairman Zeng Hui shared her rich life experiences, insights, and explorations. She recounted the reasons for founding Huirun Group: against the backdrop of a shortage of manufacturing talents, the group has established a rapidly growing talent mechanism through the integration of industry and education, focusing on dual cultivation of morality and technology, which has laid a solid foundation for its development.

She then introduced Huirun Group in detail, describing it as a platform integrating culture with industry and technology. She emphasized that culture is the driving force, vitality, and legacy of an enterprise. Chinese traditional culture is the foundation, revolutionary culture is the soul, and advanced socialist culture is the method. She profoundly explained the core role of culture in the development of enterprises.

Regarding the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era, Chairman Zeng Hui said that Lei Feng is a representative of a condensed spirit. Learning from Lei Feng's spirit not only involves inheriting the essence of traditional and revolutionary cultures but also keeping pace with the times. Specifically, this means embodying the "screw" spirit in ordinary work positions, characterized by persistence, perseverance, craftsmanship, innovation, and legacy. She encouraged students to practice these qualities in their daily studies and lives.

She also explained the significance of "Song Yingxing," the author of Tiāngōng Kāiwù (The Exploitation of the Works of Nature). As a symbol of cultural confidence and the unyielding spirit of the Chinese nation, Song Yingxing inspires contemporary students to pursue excellence and innovation.

Excitingly, Chairman Zeng Hui announced during the lecture that Huirun Group would establish a special foundation to help students in financial difficulty who are also morally and academically qualified. Students from Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College will be the first beneficiaries of this initiative, which was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Additionally, recognizing that many students in the audience felt confused about their future, she hoped that teachers could guide students in career planning, making full use of the "2+1" time to learn various skills. Huirun Group will also bring the most advanced equipment to the school, allowing students to form project teams to apply their basic knowledge to the latest production equipment and then send them to enterprises for practical training to support their growth.

At the end of the lecture, Chairman Zeng Hui had an amiable dialogue with the students, discussing hot issues related to career development and answering their questions. Li Xiang from Class 6 of Intelligent Electromechanical Engineering in the 2024 cohort asked first, "When new graduates join a company, do enterprises value solid professional skills more or the ability to learn and adapt quickly?" Chairman Zeng Hui provided a unique perspective, emphasizing that both professional skills and learning adaptability must ultimately be applied in practice. Only by transforming knowledge into practical results can one truly create value in work.

Subsequently, Yang Xiaoqi from Class 1 of New Energy Vehicle Technology in the 2024 cohort raised a doubt: "In the face of the impact of AI technology, what tools or ways of thinking should students in our field prioritize to maintain an advantage over the next three years?" Chairman Zeng Hui patiently replied that it depends on the specific job. In the current trend of deep integration between intelligent manufacturing and AI, innovative thinking is crucial. This response gave the students a clearer understanding of their future learning direction.

Finally, Cheng Shudi, the assistant dean of the Intelligent Manufacturing College, summarized the lecture. She pointed out that the students are living in an opportune time and have a great responsibility. She encouraged everyone to study diligently with the spirit of a screw, apply their knowledge in practice, ride the wave of the times, and lay a solid foundation for their future career development and social construction.
