Focusing on Change to Clarify Direction, Implementing Good Strategies to Start a New Chapter

On the morning of April 12, Nanchong No. 11 Middle School held a headteacher forum for the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. The forum, themed "Trends and Countermeasures of Basic Education Teaching Reform in the New Era," was attended by the school's vice principals in charge of different grades and all headteachers.

The forum was opened by Vice Principal Ye Yunsheng, who spoke about the particularity and importance of headteacher work. He also discussed the opportunities and challenges faced by headteachers in the new era, as well as the future direction of headteacher work. He cited specific cases for precise analysis and put forward specific requirements and suggestions for headteacher work in the context of the AI era.

The school also invited education expert Zhang Wanguo from the Chongqing Changshou District Teacher Development Center to give a lecture titled "A Preliminary Exploration of the Trends and Countermeasures of Basic Education Teaching Reform in the 'New Era'." The lecture covered seven aspects: (1) the current status of primary and secondary education; (2) where today's education comes from; (3) what kind of "new era" we have entered; (4) the trends of primary and secondary education reform in the "new era"; (5) ideas for coping strategies; (6) teaching coping measures with Chinese language teaching as an example; and (7) education coping strategies and measures with class building as an example.

Mr. Zhang's lecture not only provided profound theoretical analysis but also included many practical cases, which greatly benefited the attending headteachers. After the forum, the headteachers generally reflected that Mr. Zhang's lecture was both theoretically profound and practically in-depth, and they learned many operable practical contents.

Finally, Director Yang Yanyi of the Student Affairs Department made a summary speech. He called on the headteachers to seize the opportunity of the forum, to seriously reflect and summarize, and to apply the knowledge and experience they had learned to their actual work to inject new vitality into their future work. He emphasized that empowering students' growth and adding luster to the school's development is the inescapable responsibility of every headteacher.

The successful holding of the forum not only enhanced the professional quality of the headteachers but also injected new momentum into the school's educational work.
