Nanchong Public Security Holds the "Glory and Dreams" Report to the People Themed Display Activity

On the evening of January 9th, on the eve of the fifth Chinese People's Police Day, in order to further unite the police force and showcase the new responsibilities and new styles of the city's public security teams in safeguarding peace and development, the Nanchong public security organs grandly held the "Glory and Dreams" - Report to the People themed display activity at the Grand Theater.

Chen Youbo, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Wei Guohua, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Committee and Commander of the Nanchong Military Division, Ren Jialiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Government, Wen Guibiao, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, Yue Jian, Deputy Mayor and Director of the Public Security Bureau, Luo Mingyuan, Deputy Mayor, Wen Yong, Deputy Mayor, Xu Xinzhou, Party Secretary and Acting President of the Intermediate People's Court of the City, and Li Yi, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Corps of the Provincial Department of Public Security, attended the activity.

This event, themed "Glory and Dreams," featured 12 artistic programs sourced from the front lines of Nanchong's public security work, taking turns on stage. Through a variety of artistic forms such as singing and dancing, skits, situational dramas, musicals, poetry recitations, and choral performances, the event presented a visual feast of public security arts and a cultural banquet for the audience.

"Nanchong is safe, and it is a peaceful Nanchong!" At 19:30 that evening, amidst the stirring and inspiring music of "Reporting Peace" and "The People's Public Security Advances Forward," the themed display activity began. Programs such as "Hello, 110" and "We Came from Here" showcased the vivid practices of the city's public security teams in safeguarding peace and development through singing, dancing, and poetry recitation. Programs like "A Prose Poem for You," "With You for a Lifetime," and "Moving Forward Together" won rounds of applause from the audience and gradually pushed the atmosphere of the event to a climax. Programs such as "The Growth of a Police Officer," "Training for Combat," "The Ambitious Youth Does Not Speak of Sorrow," and "Black Cat Detective" were adapted from typical cases or real stories and presented in various forms, showing the new style and image of Nanchong's police force, full of vitality and iron-blooded responsibility.

The more than one-hour performance was close to the grassroots, life, and the masses. Police stories happening around us and touching real scenes made the audience cheer and applaud for their wonderful performances and shed tears for their touching deeds. At the end of the program, with the powerful and inspiring music of "Glory and Dreams" and "The People's Police Song," the audience stood up and sang and clapped along, bringing the "Report to the People" themed display activity to a successful conclusion.

During the display activity, the "Three Most Beautiful" list was also released on site. Chen Youbo, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Yue Jian, Deputy Mayor and Director of the Public Security Bureau, and Zhou Naiyun, member of the Party Committee of the Public Security Bureau and Director of the Political Department, went on stage to award 12 "Most Beautiful People's Police," 12 "Most Beautiful Auxiliary Police," and 12 "Most Beautiful Police Family Members" from the city's public security organs in 2024.

Before the activity began, Chen Youbo and other municipal leaders cordially met with some representatives of the "Three Most Beautiful" awardees from the city's public security organs, shook hands with them warmly, took commemorative photos, and congratulated them. They encouraged them to continue to work hard, achieve new successes, and faithfully fulfill their duties and missions in the new era.

It is reported that in 2024, the city's public security organs, under the strong leadership of the Municipal Committee, the Municipal Government, and the Provincial Department of Public Security, and with the supervision and support of the Municipal People's Congress, the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and all sectors of society, closely followed the Municipal Committee's "1558" work Ideas and the Provincial Department of Public Security's "1357" development strategy. They spared no effort in promoting various tasks such as risk prevention, security protection, stability maintenance, development promotion, and iron army building. They provided high-level security to ensure the high-quality development of the city's economy and society, and the overall effectiveness of the city's public security work has been among the top in the province for eight consecutive years.

Responsible persons from relevant municipal departments, "two representatives and one committee member," police style and discipline supervisors, representatives from relevant schools, hospitals, enterprises, news media, police family members, and the public, as well as more than 700 police officers from various departments and branches of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, attended the activity.
