Scientific research gathers wisdom and initiates a new journey, promoting education through research and creating a new chapter in the curriculum

On April 6th, Longmen Middle School in Nanchong, Sichuan Province held a concentrated opening and demonstration meeting for the 2026 municipal level education research planning project to deepen the innovation and development of education research, empower education and teaching with high-quality research, and improve quality and efficiency. The meeting is chaired by the teaching department.

Yang Juan, Secretary and Director of the Party Branch of Nanchong Education Science Research Institute, Senior Teacher and Sichuan Province Special Grade Teacher, Tang Qiang, Professor and Master's Supervisor of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Xihua Normal University, Ren Xingling, former Director of the Planning Office of Nanchong Education Science Research Institute, Senior Second Grade Teacher and Sichuan Province Special Grade Teacher, Lu Xiaolin, Director of the Education Research Management Office of Nanchong Education Science Research Institute, Xu Zhuo, Deputy Director of the High School Office of Nanchong Education Science Research Institute, and other experts attended the meeting for guidance. Vice President Zhang Hongbo attended the meeting, and the main researchers from the teaching departments and various research groups also participated.

At the meeting, the director of the teaching department, Sun Xuemei, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school. She extends a sincere welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the experts who have come to guide her, stating that the school will provide comprehensive support for the research project from the aspects of system, resources, and manpower. She hopes that each research group will humbly absorb valuable guidance from experts, cultivate and study with a rigorous and pragmatic attitude, and strive for practical results, truly making educational research the core driving force for empowering the high-quality development of school education and teaching.

The core part of the thesis proposal was presented by each research group, and the project leader provided a comprehensive and detailed explanation of the research plan from the perspectives of research background and significance, research objectives and core content, research methods and implementation path, expected results and innovative highlights. The attending experts listened carefully to each report and fully affirmed the value, practical significance, and preliminary preparation work of each topic. At the same time, based on the research direction and disciplinary characteristics of each topic, precise and professional targeted guidance was carried out one by one.

Director Yang Juan read out the municipal project proposal document and provided guidance around the original intention and significance of the research project, guiding each research group to deeply understand the research value and establish research directions based on teaching practice. Professor Tang Qiang proposed to closely focus on the topic, deepen thinking, accurately concentrate on the research core, and streamline the research logic. Teacher Ren Xingling pointed out that research projects should accurately solve problems, further clarify the research main line, focus on core issues, and improve the design of the plan. Vice Director Xu Zhuo provides targeted professional guidance on English related topics from a disciplinary and professional perspective. Director Lu Xiaolin emphasized the need to adhere to problem oriented and outcome oriented approaches, refine research implementation paths, strengthen research process management, and strive to produce practical, efficient, replicable, and promotable high-quality educational research results.

After listening to expert guidance, the leaders of each research group made statements. Everyone expressed that they will sort out and comprehensively absorb the guidance and opinions of experts, optimize and improve the research plan of the project in a timely manner, solidly promote various research practices with a high sense of responsibility and rigorous scientific research attitude, strictly adhere to the research progress and quality, ensure the high standard and high-quality completion of the project research, and strive to achieve fruitful research results.

This opening debate not only clarified the core ideas, pointed out the direction of tackling difficulties, and clarified the implementation path for various research topics, but also laid a solid foundation and consolidated the joint efforts for the in-depth development of school education and scientific research work.
