The crayfish in this cage are very big, at least 20 pounds! "Before Qingming Festival, the Faxing Planting Family Farm in Yingshan County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, became lively. The farm's host Dehua was fishing for crayfish with fishing tools and workers. When the basin was filled with lively crayfish, Binhua drove a small boat to transport them to the field embankment.

The workers on the embankment are even busier. They need to weigh each crayfish on an electronic scale and divide them into three categories based on their weight: large, medium, and small. "We call crayfish that weigh over 30 grams each. Compared to those smaller crayfish, they are more popular in the market and can be sold at a better price," said Ben Dehua.

We have salvaged four times, totaling over 5000 pounds, "said Bin Dehua. This year, the temperature is higher than in previous years, and the growth rate of crayfish is faster. In previous years, the time for early crayfish to be listed was basically after the Qingming Festival." Before the Qingming Festival this year, crayfish were listed in advance, and the market situation is not wrong

The price of crayfish fluctuates rapidly in the market, and we need to complete the early shrimp fishing work before transplanting. "Bin Dehua introduced that after receiving orders every day, we need to organize manpower to catch and classify them early the next morning, and ship them as soon as possible to ensure the quality and freshness of crayfish.

This year's early shrimp production is expected to be around 30000 catties, nearly 10000 catties more than last year, with an output value of over 600000 yuan. In the process of raising crayfish, Bin Dehua has accumulated a lot of experience. He said that this year, he covered the field ridge with a layer of geomembrane, which not only prevents crayfish from escaping but also prevents soil erosion; At the same time, he also explored the method of self propagation and self breeding of crayfish, which saved him some money on shrimp fry.

Bin Dehua said that he has already started raising seedlings. After the early shrimp are sold, he will take care of the shrimp field and plant rice. The feces produced by raising crayfish are also natural fertilizers for planting rice. Ecological cycle planting and breeding not only reduces production costs but also maximizes benefits.

Bin Dehua, who tasted the sweetness of rice shrimp rotation, has also transferred land in Dongsheng Town, Yingshan County. The Chinese medicinal herb safflower planted will also mature in April, and the transferred paddy fields will continue to expand the rice shrimp rotation area. Nowadays, Bin Dehua's path of relying on agriculture to increase income is becoming wider and wider, and the diversified agricultural development model has doubled his confidence. (Guo Ming)
