Nanchong No.11 Middle School carries out prevention and control of chikungunya fever

Recently, Nanchong No.11 Middle School has launched a comprehensive special project for the prevention and control of chikungunya fever, focusing on measures such as environmental remediation and physical protection to curb mosquito breeding from the source and build a strong defense line for campus health.

On October 24th, Nanchong No.11 Middle School held a special meeting on the prevention and control of chikungunya fever.

Principal Yi Yanfa emphasized at the meeting that mosquito prevention and control work should be the top priority of current logistical support, requiring all departments to cooperate and strictly implement prevention and control measures. The meeting formulated a detailed prevention and control plan, clarified the responsibilities of each position, established a daily inspection report system, and ensured that all prevention and control measures were implemented effectively.

The logistics department organizes manpower to conduct a comprehensive investigation and remediation of the campus environment. Focus on cleaning up various types of water accumulation containers on campus, including discarded flower pots, buckets, tires, etc., to ensure that drainage ditches are unobstructed and free of water accumulation. Thoroughly trim the green belt, remove dead branches and leaves, and carry out daily cleaning and regular cleaning of garbage bins in public areas. Assign a dedicated person to be responsible for investigating indoor water accumulation points and promptly cleaning up water accumulation in equipment such as air conditioning outdoor units and water dispensers. Regularly release biological mosquito repellents to control mosquito breeding from the source.

The logistics department is accelerating the renovation and upgrading of campus mosquito control facilities. We plan to scientifically deploy mosquito killing lamps in public areas, with a focus on covering areas such as green spaces, corridors, and bathrooms that are prone to mosquito breeding. In addition, drug spraying will be carried out in various areas of the campus, focusing on disinfection and sterilization the mosquito intensive areas such as bushes and sewers.

Director Kou from the logistics department stated that in the next stage, we will continue to strengthen inspections in key areas, establish a "grid based" management model, divide the campus into several responsibility areas, and assign dedicated personnel to each area to ensure that there are no blind spots in prevention and control work. At the same time, professional disinfection and sterilization companies are introduced for effect evaluation, and the prevention and control strategies are dynamically adjusted according to the monitoring data.

To consolidate the effectiveness of prevention and control, the school will also organize logistics personnel to conduct in-depth cleaning of teaching buildings, dormitories, canteens and other places, and mobilize teachers and students to participate in campus environment maintenance together. In addition, it is planned to install mosquito prevention signs on campus, set up mosquito repellent plants in key areas, and take multiple measures to create a safe and comfortable campus environment.
