From July 28th to 30th, the 2026 National Youth U Series Freestyle BMX Championship will be held at the BMX Freestyle BMX in Yingshan. The competition is hosted by the China Cycling Association, organized by the Education and Sports Bureau of Nanchong City and the People's Government of Yingshan County. It attracted more than 20 teams and over a hundred athletes from Shanghai, Guangdong, Hunan and other places to participate in the competition, and staged a wonderful and unparalleled "air ballet" banquet for small wheelers.

On July 29th, the BMX freestyle BMX event in Yingshan was in full swing. Contestants raced and dived from a high platform, jumped up along a curved slope, and smoothly completed maneuvers such as spinning, somersaulting, and turning handles in the air. The combination of human and vehicle created a beautiful arc, and landed smoothly in one go. In the audience, coaches and spectators cheered and cheered continuously, pushing the atmosphere to a climax.

The track is comfortable and superior, and the atmosphere on the field is warm. Being able to compete with outstanding athletes from all over the country has given me the opportunity to exercise and learn, and I have gained happiness and growth. "Wang Yihan, a member of the Henan Badiri team who came to Yingshan for the first time to participate in the competition, won the championship in the women's U14 category. After the competition, Wang Yihan said that Yingshan is her lucky place and she looks forward to coming to Yingshan again to compete and exchange skills with various experts in the future.

In terms of men's group: Dai Shengtong from Chengdu Wanchang Club performed well and successfully won the U6 age group championship; Chen Yu from Huizhou 52BIKE Cycling Park has superior skills and has won the U7 age group championship in his arms; The first place in the U8 age group was easily won by Dai Kunshen from the Guizhou team; Zhang Mingze from Sichuan Small Ferry Team won the U9 age group championship; Yang Zhihao from Huizhou 52BIKE Cycling Park narrowly won the U12 age group championship; Wang Qimeng from the Hubei team outperformed the other teams in terms of skills and won the first place in the U14 age group competition

In terms of women's group, Deng Tuantuan from Yunnan SUPER team won the championship of U5 age group first; Yue Luting from Chengdu Stubborn Factory Club made a stunning appearance and firmly won the first place in the U6 age group; Kong Yanxin from the Hefei Deren Careful Ground Skating Team won the championship in the U7 age group; The competition scene of the U8 age group was once tense, but in the end, He Muyao from the Sichuan Small Ferry team laughed until the end; Liang Shaoxi from Ximi Sports in Nanning, Guangxi, outperformed others and won the championship in the U9 age group; Wang Yaxuan from Sichuan Small Ferry Team won first place in the U12 age group; Wang Yihan from Henan Badiri team successfully won the U14 age group championship and stood on the highest podium.

It is reported that in the third and fourth stations of the 2026 China Youth Racing BMX League, which ended earlier, Yingshan County Chaoyue Sports Club selected 5 young players to compete. In this tournament, the club once again sent 7 local players to the field. Several young players achieved impressive results in their first national competition.

It is reported that Yingshan has one of the few domestic bases that can simultaneously host racing and freestyle BMX events. It is also a national BMX winter training base and a cycling training base in Sichuan Province. The county has successfully hosted over 20 national level BMX races, becoming a high-quality fertile ground for cultivating BMX talents. Deng Yawen, a resident athlete, and Xia Huangyao, Xia Honglin, Xiong Yuxiang, and other athletes from Yingshan started from here and successfully stood on the highest podium of the Olympic Games, National Games, and other competitions through training.
