Folk Experience of Xiaoman Festival in Kindergarten

Spring warmth has passed, summer heat is gradually rising. On May 21st, we will welcome the second solar term of summer - Xiaoman.

In order to let children feel the charm of traditional solar terms and experience the beauty of folk customs, Green Apple Kindergarten in Gaoping District, Nanchong City carried out interesting clay creative manual activities.

The children picked up soft clay, carefully kneaded and shaped it, and personally molded full wheat ears and green rice seedlings in exquisite discs. Pinching and kneading are all childlike, each dish and object fully displays the charm of summer, capturing the beautiful scenery of wheat ears gradually maturing and everything filling during the Xiaoman season in small handmade works.

Fingertips hide poetry, clay paints Xiaoman. Through hands-on creation, children learn about seasonal customs, perceive natural changes, encounter the unique tenderness and harvest expectations of early summer, immerse themselves in traditional culture through joyful practice, and harvest abundant happiness and growth.
