In order to thoroughly implement the relevant deployment of provincial and municipal safety work, adhere to the concept of "people first, life first", effectively build a strong campus safety defense line, and enhance the emergency avoidance and self rescue capabilities of teachers and students, on May 11th, Longmen Middle School in Nanchong, Sichuan Province organized the entire school to carry out earthquake prevention and disaster reduction emergency evacuation drills and drowning prevention special education activities. Principal Zhang Limei participated in the event and delivered a concluding speech.

To ensure the orderly and efficient development of activities, the school has formulated detailed activity plans in advance, established a special work leadership group, and refined personnel division of labor, evacuation routes, and process requirements. Each class holds a themed class meeting to promote knowledge on shock absorption and evacuation, practice discipline, and evacuation routes; The staff conducted a comprehensive investigation of safety hazards in the corridors and passages of the teaching building, cleared obstacles, and laid a solid safety foundation for the drill.

At 07:40 on the same day, with the sound of the earthquake alarm sounding on time, the emergency evacuation drill for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction officially began. In the classroom, students immediately followed the instructions of the homeroom teacher, quickly hugged their heads, curled up and hid under their desks for emergency shock absorption. After the evacuation order was issued, the teachers and students strictly followed the principles of single lane to the right, bending over to protect their heads, and moving forward in an orderly manner, and quickly evacuated according to the preset route. Teachers and students should behave properly, obey commands, and evacuate efficiently to the designated safe area on the playground. Each class leader quickly counted the number of people and reported accurately to the drill commander about the class situation. The entire evacuation process was tense, orderly, standardized, and efficient.

After the drill, Vice President Zhang Jianwei made a comprehensive summary of the drill. He fully affirmed the effectiveness of the drill, while pointing out the shortcomings and calling for further strengthening of emergency response awareness among teachers and students.

During the special education activity on drowning prevention, Director Xiong of the Security Department provided a detailed interpretation of the core requirements of "six prohibitions, two sessions, and four knowledge" for drowning prevention, clarified the safety responsibilities of the three parties of home, school, and community, and arranged for regular drowning prevention education work.

Subsequently, all students lined up neatly to take a collective oath to prevent drowning, and the resounding oath echoed throughout the campus, deeply rooted in the concept of drowning safety.

Principal Zhang Limei announced the official launch of the school's 2026 drowning prevention special education campaign and delivered a concluding speech. She emphasized that the work of preventing drowning is a long and arduous task, requiring all departments to strengthen their safety responsibilities, class teachers to carry out daily safety education, students to strictly abide by safety guidelines, parents to fulfill their guardianship responsibilities, unite the efforts of families and schools, and weave a solid safety protection net against drowning.
