Strengthen emergency drills to safeguard campus safety

On the occasion of the 18th Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, in order to effectively enhance the emergency shelter, self rescue and mutual assistance capabilities of teachers and students, as well as the ability to handle sudden safety incidents on campus, and to build a strong campus safety protection barrier, on May 12th, Nanchong No.11 Middle School closely organized two special emergency drills: earthquake and fire emergency evacuation, and campus anti-terrorism and anti riot, comprehensively consolidating the campus safety defense line.

At 14:50 on the same day, the school took the lead in conducting emergency evacuation drills for dormitory earthquakes and fires in response to the characteristics of boarding school education. In the early stage of the drill, the school formulated a special plan, clarified the responsibilities of personnel in each position, conducted targeted safety training, explained in detail the skills of risk avoidance and escape, refined the two-way evacuation process, and ensured that the drill was orderly and efficient. After the emergency alarm sounded, the simulated fire smoke filled the scene. All students quickly followed the standard actions to avoid danger, bent down to cover their noses and heads, and walked forward in an orderly manner from the dormitory safety passage to the designated area on the playground under the guidance of the life teacher, class teacher, and instructor. The homeroom teachers of each class immediately counted the number of students and reported them step by step, with a well-organized and efficient process throughout the entire process. Liu Dongyuan, Director of the Student Affairs Department of the Junior High School, gave a concluding speech, fully affirming the effectiveness of the drill and emphasizing the need to promote practice through drills, effectively improving the emergency evacuation literacy of boarding teachers and students.

At 3:30 pm, based on the dormitory exercise, the school, together with Xiaolong Police Station and Jiangdong Avenue Fire Emergency Rescue Station, conducted a campus anti-terrorism and riot control practical exercise. Before the drill, Zhou Hao, the deputy head of the school's security department, conducted training on the use of riot control equipment for security personnel, clarifying emergency responsibilities and disposal procedures.

Simulate real-life scenarios where criminals forcefully enter the campus and intentionally cause trouble. Security personnel immediately activate one click alarm and broadcast warnings, and the campus emergency team quickly carries out lockdown, containment, and protection work; The local police force, fire department, and medical staff rushed to assist, working together to subdue the criminals, extinguish open flames, and treat the injured. The entire emergency response process was standardized and smooth.

After the drill, police officer Tang Lei and assistant station chief of the fire rescue station, Shangguan Huizhong, provided feedback and guidance respectively, and conducted special training on counter-terrorism, riot control, and the use of firefighting equipment. Yang Yanyi, Director of the Student Affairs Department, stated that this series of drills comprehensively tested the practical ability of the school's emergency response system, effectively strengthening the safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of teachers and students.

This 5.12 disaster prevention and reduction series of drills covers multiple safety core subjects such as evacuation, counter-terrorism and riot control, fire rescue, etc., with strict organization and strong targeting.
