Sichuan Gaoping: Qingpingguo Kindergarten organizes earthquake emergency evacuation drill

Safety is no small matter, the alarm bell rings constantly. Safety education is the core foundation of regular preschool care and education work. In order to further strengthen the awareness of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction safety among all teachers and children in the kindergarten, proficiently master the standardized process of scientific risk avoidance, rapid evacuation, self rescue and mutual aid in the event of an earthquake, and effectively enhance the comprehensive emergency response capabilities of the park, on the afternoon of May 11th, Qingpingguo Kindergarten in Gaoping District, Nanchong City organized all teachers and children to carry out emergency earthquake prevention and evacuation drills in an orderly manner.

The urgent earthquake emergency alarm suddenly echoed through every corner of the park. In an instant, the atmosphere in the park quickly changed, and under the calm guidance of the teacher, all the children in each class quickly responded to the emergency situation, and everyone stayed nearby to avoid danger. Children should keep in mind the safety essentials, not push, cry, or panic. They should firmly protect their heads with both hands, quickly bend down and lower their bodies, and quickly hide at a safe angle next to their desks and storage cabinets. They should remain calm throughout the process, complete the complete set of indoor emergency evacuation procedures in a standardized and orderly manner.

After the brief escape is over and the second evacuation order is issued, teachers in each class immediately organize children to queue up, strictly control order throughout the process, guide children to maintain a bent and head protecting posture, and evacuate quickly, orderly, and steadily along the predetermined safe evacuation route to a safe open area.

Each class teacher should quickly count the number of children in their class, investigate the evacuation situation of all teachers and children, and immediately report the evacuation situation to the on-site commander to ensure that no one is missed.

At the end of the drill, Party branch secretary Qing Yishan summarized the drill activity. The drill was standardized, efficient, orderly, and closely related to the real situation, comprehensively testing the feasibility and practicality of our kindergarten's emergency plan. It effectively improved the practical ability of all faculty and staff in emergency response, on-site guidance, and coordinated cooperation, and enabled children to master basic earthquake prevention, self rescue, emergency avoidance, and rapid escape practical skills. It comprehensively consolidated the foundation of building a safe campus in kindergartens.

After the drill, in the safety education class, the teachers used vivid and easy to understand language, interesting animations, and scenario simulation games to explain shock absorption related safety knowledge to the children: telling the children not to panic when an earthquake comes, to remember the avoidance mnemonics of lying on the ground, covering, and holding hands firmly, to hide under desks, corners, and other safe areas in the classroom, and to protect their heads; Demonstrate standardized evacuation actions, bend down, hold your head, do not push or make noise, and follow the teacher to evacuate in an orderly manner; Popularize emergency knowledge, avoid running around, taking elevators, staying away from windows and high-altitude objects, and remember to seek help from teachers as soon as possible when encountering danger.
