Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College: Singing dreams and returning with honor

Good news is coming, and good news keeps coming. Recently, the 2026 PepsiCo Strongest Voice Nanchong Regional Finals and the Flower Time Cup Nanchong First College Student Campus Singer Competition came to a successful conclusion. Outstanding contestants from sister universities competed on the same stage, and students from Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College stood out on the field with solid professional skills and outstanding singing abilities, achieving multiple outstanding results.

In the 2026 Pepsi's Strongest Voice Nanchong Finals, Hu Chenxi, a popular singer in the 2024 music performance direction of Southern Film Group, won the overall championship in Nanchong, Xiao Shiqiang ranked fourth in the competition, Zhang Xinyu won the Best Popularity Award, and Hu Chenxi will represent Nanchong in the Sichuan Provincial Finals to showcase his singing skills on a higher stage.

In the first Nanchong College Student Campus Singer Competition of the Flower Time Cup, a total of 80 contestants from the city participated, and the competition was fierce with a gathering of prestigious universities. All students participating in the Southern Film competition have successfully advanced to the finals, with our school occupying three of the top five spots in the competition. Among them, Hu Chenxi won the runner up of the competition with the highest score of 9.858 points, Xiao Shiqiang, Yang Jingyi, and Zhang Xinyu were named the top ten singers of the competition, Liu Xiaoyu won the Excellent Singer Award, and all award-winning students simultaneously received corresponding competition bonuses.

In this two competitions, students from Southern Film University competed with elites from universities such as Xihua Normal University, Southwest Petroleum University, and Chuanbei Medical College on the same stage, and still steadily demonstrated their strength to break through and deliver an outstanding performance. Behind the impressive results, it cannot be separated from the careful guidance and cultivation of the two mentors, Zhao Hongxin and Zhang Yujia.

Through repeated experiences on the competition field, one after another, our strength has blossomed, and we have won numerous honors. This fully demonstrates the excellent teaching level and strong professional education capabilities of the Southern Film Music Performance major, and is also a vivid manifestation of the school's deep cultivation of aesthetic education, adhering to the educational philosophy of nurturing people with art and beauty, and achieving fruitful results. Southern Film will continue to deepen the construction of art majors, consolidate the foundation of education, and build a broader and better platform for students to showcase their growth.
