Recently, at the 2026 High School Geography Classroom Teaching Exhibition and Evaluation Event in Gaoping District, Nanchong City, Teacher Li Ruiqi from Nanchong No.11 Middle School selected Zibo as a typical sample with the core topic of resource depleted city transformation and development. All teachers in the teaching and research group gathered together and carefully prepared, polishing the entire process from pre preparation, classroom teaching to team building, to create a high-quality classroom that combines knowledge, practicality, and educational value, fully demonstrating the charm of subject teaching and the strength of team teaching and research. Successfully won the first prize in this competition, demonstrating the professional style and teaching strength of the teaching team at Nanchong No.11 Middle School with their strength.

1、 Thoroughly study and refine to establish a solid foundation for pre course preparation for the competition

To accurately present the development difficulties and transformation paths of resource depleted cities, Zibo is used as a vivid case study to carry out comprehensive teaching preparation, making classroom content deep, warm, and effective.

（1） Digging deeper into case studies to solidify the foundation of teaching content

Thoroughly review the development history of Zibo as a century old industrial and mining area, focusing on its development trajectory of thriving due to coal and encountering bottlenecks due to resource depletion. Deeply explore the transformation practices of Zibo Zichuan District and other areas after being listed as resource depleted cities, collect first-hand information on ecological restoration of abandoned mines, technological upgrading of traditional industries, integrated development of culture and tourism, and construction of complementary industries between agriculture and light, sort out the transformation logic of "industrial optimization and expansion, ecological restoration quality improvement, and cultural tourism empowerment", extract typical cases, data charts, and real-life materials, and make the teaching content fit the actual situation of the city, highlighting the typicality and representativeness of the cases.

（2） Simulate polishing to optimize classroom teaching details

Carry out multiple rounds of trial teaching and grinding classes, repeatedly optimizing details such as classroom rhythm, question design, interactive activities, and time control. Based on the cognitive characteristics of students, adjust the teaching language and teaching methods, preset unexpected classroom problems and response plans, ensure smooth teaching processes, highlight teaching priorities, and efficient teaching effects, and strive to create high-quality classrooms that are suitable for students and learning situations.

This competition takes Zibo as the core case, and constructs a teaching mode of "problem leading+case exploration+literacy implementation". The whole process closely follows the theme of resource depleted city transformation, and the teaching is carried out layer by layer in a clear and easy to understand manner.

The classroom begins with a comparative image of Zibo's former industrial and mining prosperity and its current ecological livability and cultural tourism boom, which prompts students to think and quickly enter the topic; Subsequently, gradually explain the development conditions and reasons for the decline of resource-based cities in Zibo, and guide students to analyze the problems faced by resource depleted cities in terms of industrial structure, ecological environment, and development momentum, based on real cases such as the renovation of abandoned mines and the transformation of traditional industries; Set up group exploration activities in the core section, allowing students to combine Zibo's transformation practice, discuss the breakthrough path of resource depleted cities in groups, and collide with sparks of thinking; Finally, summarizing and sublimating, based on the concept of human environment coordination, guiding students to understand the important significance of urban sustainable development, and achieving the organic integration of knowledge imparting and core literacy cultivation.
