Road Maintenance Teams Work Together to Ensure Smooth Spring Festival Travel

On January 13th, we visited the Hui Lv Road in Yingshan County, Sichuan Province, and observed road maintenance workers in bright orange vests busily replacing deformed w - shaped guardrails, reinforcing loose ones, and adjusting end heads and posts.

Xiong Kui, a staff member from the Yingshan County Road Bureau's Machinery Maintenance Center, informed us that in order to ensure the safe travel of the public during the Spring Festival travel season, the center has conducted a comprehensive inspection of the national, provincial, and county roads under its jurisdiction. Any discovered damages to safety facilities and road surface diseases have been promptly treated.

It is understood that the Yingshan County Road Bureau is responsible for a total of 407 kilometers of road maintenance, 472 bridges, and 2 tunnels. To ensure smooth traffic during the Spring Festival travel season, the bureau initiated preparatory road maintenance work immediately after the National Day holiday. Up to now, a total of more than 320 machinery and equipment units and more than 450 maintenance personnel have been dispatched. More than 300 road surface diseases such as cracks and fissures have been treated, more than 1,100 meters of damaged w - shaped guardrails have been repaired and replaced, more than 210 kilometers of guardrails have been cleaned, and more than 300 kilometers of shoulders and ditches have been rectified.
