Developing observation skills to convey peer warmth
In order to deepen the construction of the school's mental health education system and enhance the observation and support abilities of class psychological committee members, on the afternoon of December 18th, Longmen Middle School in Nanchong, Sichuan Province organized a special training for psychological committee members. This training session will be hosted by Teacher Li Hongjie from the Mental Health Guidance Center.

Starting from the definition and boundaries of observation, Teacher Li focuses on how to observe with warmth and support with methods, emphasizing that observation is not only a skill, but also a companion with respect and empathy. He combines the real situations in students' daily lives to guide the psychological committee to learn how to delicately perceive the emotional changes of classmates through clues such as language, expressions, and behavior, and timely convey care and support.
In the "Understanding the Pressure Behind Emotions" section, Teacher Li takes the perspective of "pressure is a signal, not a problem" to help committee members understand the causes and needs behind emotions. He encourages everyone to become "soulmates in the class", providing warm companionship in daily life and assisting classmates in contacting professional psychological support when needed, truly playing the dual role of "bridge" and "sentinel".

At the training site, the psychological committee members listened attentively and interacted actively. Everyone expressed that through this learning experience, not only have they mastered more systematic observation methods, but they have also gained a deeper understanding of the significance of the work of a psychological counselor - conveying warmth in rigor and growing together in support.
This special training actively empowers the school's psychological committee members through systematic explanations and warm guidance. The school will continue to carry out a series of training and supervision for the psychological committee team, support the psychological committee to enhance their professional abilities, create a campus psychological environment that is understanding, accepting, and warm, and accompany every student to steadily move towards a better future.
