Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College: Creating Tourism through Culture and Promoting Industry through Education

In order to accurately grasp the new trend of the integration of cultural tourism and education industries, focus on the new model of industry education integration and the industrialization path of education and teaching, from December 15th to 16th, Kou Delin, Chairman of Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College, led a team to two benchmark theme parks in the province - Zigong Fantawild Dinosaur Kingdom and Ya'an Panda Park · Pangda Planet, to conduct in-depth research and special investigations. This survey is dedicated to systematically learning how benchmark projects can transform cultural IP resources into a content system with teaching value, and achieve the scale and industrialization of educational functions through cultural tourism scenarios and technological means.
On the afternoon of December 15th, the first stop of the inspection team arrived at the Zigong Fantawild Dinosaur Kingdom Study Tour Practice Base. This project deeply integrates dinosaurs and ancient Shu culture, supported by cutting-edge technologies such as AR, VR, and ball screens. It has created 39 immersive learning projects and 16 themed layered courses, including "Flying into the Blue Sky", "Bronze Festival", and "Light of Life", and constructed an integrated learning system of "teaching experience practice". Chairman Koudelin highly praised the deep integration model of "technology+culture+education" in the base, believing that its practice of "revitalizing rich history with high-tech means and embedding knowledge core in shocking experiences" has achieved efficient transformation from "tourism scenes" to "education scenes" through systematic curriculum development and standardized operation, providing a replicable model for schools to promote the integration of industry and education and the industrialization of educational content, especially in terms of curriculum productization, teacher collaboration, and joint construction of practical training scenes, which has important reference significance.
On the morning of December 16th, the inspection team visited Ya'an Panda Park · Pangda Planet, focusing on researching its "light curriculum, heavy experience" education, cultural and tourism model built on the giant panda ecological IP. The project focuses on "Exploring the Homeland" as the main theme, integrating ecological knowledge into the tourism route through situational narrative and gamified interaction, achieving seamless integration of science education. Its operating model highlights another path of deep integration between cultural tourism and education: with IP as the core, experience as the carrier, and parent-child and research-based markets as the goal, it realizes the soft transmission and value extension of educational content in leisure scenes, providing innovative ideas for schools to layout themed and scenario based educational cultural tourism products.
Through this inspection, our school has formed a clearer understanding of the industrialization direction of "culture and tourism+education+technology". The two major projects respectively embody two integration models of "heavy investment and systematization" and "strong IP and experiential", jointly pointing to the structured embedding and industrialized operation of educational functions in the cultural tourism industry. In the future, our school will focus on the educative development of cultural IP, the pedagogical application of technological means, and the industrial integration of curriculum systems, promoting the construction of a market-oriented "research-oriented, learnable, and operable" industry education integrated cultural and tourism project, and helping education and teaching move from classrooms to scenarios, and from content to industry.
