In order to thoroughly implement the important spirit of inheriting the red gene and continuing the red bloodline, and innovate the form of patriotic education, on the morning of December 10th, leaders such as Yang Liu, Secretary of the Party Group of the Jialing District Federation of Industry and Commerce, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Jialing District Committee, and He Weidong, Deputy Director of the Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College, went to Xiejiazui Village, Datong Town, Jialing District, Nanchong City to carry out a theme activity of visiting the hometown of martyr Wu Jipan. Through on-site visits and learning, guide teachers and students to follow in the footsteps of the martyrs, appreciate the revolutionary spirit, and explore new paths for deep integration between film and television education and the inheritance of red culture.

All personnel visited the former residence of martyr Wu Jipan and the Party History Center of the North Sichuan Branch of the Communist Party of China with reverence. Through on-site observation and listening to explanations, everyone gained a deeper understanding of the brief yet glorious life of martyr Wu Jipan. Wu Jipan (1898-1933), also known as Bingzhang, was born in Longtan Gou, Datong Town. In 1919, he actively responded to the work study movement in France and went to France to study. During this period, he entered the Paris Film School to study. Under the influence of revolutionary pioneers such as Zhao Shiyan and Deng Xiaoping, he joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in Europe in 1923 and soon became a member of the CPC. In the autumn of 1925, he returned to his hometown of Nanchong, founded the Communist Party of China's northern Sichuan branch, and participated in the famous Shunqing Uprising, laying an important foundation for the revolutionary struggle in northern Sichuan. In 1933, Wu Jipan heroically died. His lofty ideals of integrating Chinese and Western knowledge, dedicating himself to saving the country and serving the people, and his spirit of responsibility that closely links personal destiny with the responsibility of the times deeply moved every person present.

Subsequently, all personnel had a discussion and exchange at the office of the Xiejiazui Village Committee, focusing on how to better explore, protect, and utilize the red resources related to the martyr Wu Jipan, and how to combine their spiritual connotations with patriotic education, film and television art creation, and professional talent training in the new era, and conducted in-depth discussions.

In his speech, He Weidong pointed out that martyr Wu Jipan, as a firm revolutionary pioneer, had an academic background in early Western film education, and his life resonated deeply with the disciplinary characteristics of Southern Film and Television. Southern Film will focus on filming a documentary about Wu Jipan, and use this as an opportunity to establish an off campus patriotic education and film and television creation practice base in Xiejiazui Village and relevant historical sites of Wu Jipan martyr, providing practical teaching and creative space for teachers and students. Southern Film will also organize teachers and students to regularly participate in research and practice, creative inspiration, volunteer service and other activities, extending the classroom to the red hot soil, guiding students to deeply understand red history in professional practice, telling heroic stories with camera language, inheriting red genes, and striving to cultivate new era film and television talents with solid professional skills and profound patriotism.

Professor Yang Guang, the founding president of the French Chinese Workers and Work Study Students Research Association, introduced the revolutionary deeds and contributions of predecessors such as Wu Jipan from the perspective of historical research. He talked about the precious spirit of pursuing truth, hard work, and patriotic dedication contained in this period of history, and fully affirmed the college's use of professional advantages to carry out the inheritance of red culture, especially the production of special documentaries and the establishment of filming bases.

Yang Liu stated during the event that patriotic education and the inheritance of red genes must be based on local characteristics, deeply explore local red cultural resources, and make them vivid teaching materials for ideological and political education in the new era. Combining red history with film and television propaganda can not only enhance the vividness and dissemination of education, but also make the revolutionary spirit deeply rooted in people's hearts in an intuitive and close way. At the same time, it is suggested that the filming of the documentary on the martyr Wu Jipan should be based on respecting historical facts, using modern film and television techniques to highlight the revolutionary spirit and contemporary value of the martyr, making it an excellent work rich in educational and artistic value, and further stimulating the patriotic enthusiasm and fighting spirit of all sectors of society.

By officially launching the documentary production plan for martyr Wu Jipan and collaborating to establish an off campus internship shooting base, we will strengthen top-level design and continuous promotion, promote the deep integration and brilliance of the red spirit and film and television art in the new era. This visit activity is not only a lively party history learning and education practice class, but also an important measure for Southern Film to promote the integrated development of "red culture+film and television education". Southern Film will take this event as an important starting point, and through systematic planning and long-term promotion, focus on building a system of integration and symbiosis between the red spirit and film and television art, so that the red gene can be passed down from generation to generation and continue to thrive.

Meng Dan, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation of Shunqing District, Nanchong City, Chen Guanxian, Executive Vice Chairman of the Nanchong Internet Writers Association, Li Yongping, Secretary of the Party Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Nanchong Original Language Federation, and relevant personnel from the Southern Film External Cooperation Management Office participated in this event.
