Yingshan, Sichuan: Launch the 38th "World AIDS Day" Publicity Campaign

December 1 is the 38th "World AIDS Day". On that day, Yingshan County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province launched a large-scale promotional event at the Convention and Exhibition Center with the theme of "Social Governance, Upholding Integrity and Innovation, Ending AIDS". Through award-winning Q&A, cultural performances, free testing, policy interpretation and other forms, the event aimed to popularize AIDS prevention knowledge to the public and unite the whole society's efforts in AIDS prevention.

The event site was crowded with people, and the rich and diverse activities attracted many citizens to stop and participate. The county center for disease control and prevention has set up an HIV testing consultation desk on site, providing free and confidential testing services to citizens. At the same time, it has distributed HIV prevention brochures, eco-friendly bags, condoms and other materials. Each hospital in the county has set up a consultation desk on site to distribute promotional materials and provide services such as blood pressure measurement to the public for free.

"What are the ways of transmission of AIDS? Please rush to answer!" At the same time, after the performance, the award-winning question and answer session instantly ignited the atmosphere of the scene. Just after the host finished reading the topic with the microphone, people in the square raised their hands to answer the question "Sexual transmission, blood transmission, mother to child transmission!".

This event is hosted by the County Party Committee and County Government, co organized by the County Party Committee Propaganda Department, and organized by the County Health Bureau, County Disease Control Bureau, County Center for Disease Control and Prevention, County People's Hospital, and County Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning Service Center. A total of 2000 promotional flyers, 1000 promotional brochures, 1500 condoms, 200 promotional towels, 1000 promotional paper cups were distributed for this event. More than 400 people were consulted by the public, and more than 20 people received free blood tests.
