Nanchong No.11 Middle School: Strictly inspect laboratory safety and build a strong teaching defense line

Recently, in order to further strengthen laboratory safety management and ensure orderly teaching activities, Kang Rui, Director of the Teaching Department of Nanchong No.11 Middle School, and Yang Zhi, Deputy Director, led relevant staff to conduct comprehensive and detailed safety inspections of various laboratories on campus.
The inspection team went deep into multiple laboratories such as physics, chemistry, and biology, with the standard of "full coverage and zero blind spots", focusing on identifying key risk points. During the inspection process, the operational status of the experimental equipment, the standardization of hazardous chemical storage, the aging of electrical circuits, and the effectiveness of fire-fighting facilities were checked one by one. At the same time, the cleanliness of the laboratory environment, safety responsibility disclosure, and hazardous waste disposal process were carefully inspected. In response to the detailed issues discovered during the inspection, the inspection team recorded them on the spot and had in-depth communication with the laboratory manager, proposing specific rectification suggestions, clarifying the rectification time limit and responsible parties, and requiring immediate disposal measures to be taken for prominent hidden dangers.
Kang Rui emphasized during the inspection that laboratory safety is the top priority of campus safety and the fundamental guarantee of teaching quality. All relevant responsible persons should firmly establish the concept of "hidden dangers are accidents", strictly implement the safety responsibility system of "whoever uses, who is responsible", and integrate safety requirements throughout the entire process of experimental teaching. Yang Zhi added that it is necessary to regularly carry out safety training and emergency drills for teachers and students, improve the laboratory safety management system, ensure that teachers and students are proficient in operating norms and emergency response skills, and prevent safety risks from the source.
This inspection further strengthened the responsibility of laboratory safety management and promptly eliminated potential hazards. Taking this inspection as an opportunity, the 11th Major General of Nanchong will establish a sound long-term management mechanism for laboratory safety, continuously strengthen daily inspections and dynamic supervision, create a safe and stable teaching environment for teachers and students, and lay a solid safety foundation for the high-quality development of the school.
