Two universities in Nanchong jointly discuss the establishment of the Sichuan Province Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Education Integration Community

On the morning of October 11th, a symposium and exchange meeting on the establishment of the Sichuan Province Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Education Integration Community was held at the Nanchong Campus of Southwest Petroleum University. Leaders including Qin Hongfei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Nanchong Campus of Southwest Petroleum University, and Li Taibin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College, attended the meeting to conduct in-depth exchanges on the construction of the community, laying a foundation for promoting the deep integration of industry and education in the field of regional intelligent manufacturing.

Qin Hongfei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of the Nanchong Campus of Southwest Petroleum University, elaborated on the school's achievements in the field of intelligent manufacturing with "energy characteristics and engineering advantages" as the core. Relying on national key disciplines such as petroleum and natural gas engineering, the school has built an integrated training system of "industry, academia, research and application", and created multiple experimental teaching demonstration centers related to intelligent manufacturing. In the past three years, it has transported more than 2000 high-quality technical and skilled talents to the energy industry and intelligent manufacturing field, and has undertaken multiple provincial and ministerial level intelligent manufacturing technology research and development projects, promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements into industrial applications.

Li Taibin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College, praised the outstanding educational achievements of Southwest Petroleum University as "very shocking and remarkable". He then focused on the characteristic positioning of "film and television technology empowering intelligent manufacturing" and introduced the school's educational positioning of "film as the characteristic, industry as the support". The school's exploration in cross disciplinary fields such as digital twin, virtual simulation, and intelligent manufacturing film and television equipment operation and maintenance: it has built a leading film and television intelligent manufacturing studio in China, opened characteristic majors such as intelligent manufacturing, digital media, and animation production technology, and established cooperation with more than 200 domestic film and television technology enterprises. Although the school has not been established for long, the graduates it trains are in short supply in the fields of intelligent film and television equipment operation and virtual scene construction, forming a "film and television+intelligent manufacturing" model. During the communication and speech session, participants engaged in extensive and in-depth discussions on key topics such as the construction goals, operational mechanisms, cooperation content, and future development prospects of the intelligent manufacturing industry education integration community.
