Winning 8 gold medals! Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College "Yaowu" Hainan

The 5th Hainan International Wushu Competition of the "China Sports Lottery Cup" 2025 opened on the morning of July 12th at the Haikou Sports Center. The long and short teams of Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College won 8 gold medals in the competition.

More than 1600 martial arts enthusiasts from over 20 countries and regions, as well as over 20 provinces and cities in China, have registered to participate in this competition. Nanchong Film Industry Vocational College has selected four outstanding athletes to participate, namely Wang Yuyuan and Zhang Yiming, students majoring in social sports from the School of Physical Education in 2024, Li Ruoting, students majoring in animation production from the School of Film and Television in 2024, and Chen Jie, students majoring in e-commerce from the School of Management in 2024.

After 4 days of intense competition, the principal's short soldier team lived up to expectations and ultimately won 8 gold medals. Among them, Wang Yuyuan won the first place in men's long soldier 78kg and short soldier 78kg; Zhang Yiming won first place in men's long soldier+84kg and short soldier+84kg; Li Ruoting won first place in the women's long soldier 47kg and short soldier 47kg; Chen Jie won the first place in the women's long soldier's weight of 59kg and short soldier's weight of 59kg.
