Yingshan, Sichuan: Luoshi town's "combined fist" for drought relief ensures people's livelihood and stable production, and the cadres and the masses fight the drought together

In recent days, the continuous dry weather has caused varying degrees of drought in 19 villages (communities) of Luoshi Town, Yingshan County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, which has brought severe challenges to people's production and life. Luoshi town Party committee and government quickly started emergency response, closely followed the core task of "ensuring people's livelihood and stabilizing production", made drought relief the top priority of the current work, mobilized the participation of the whole people through the integration of various forces, took multiple measures to ensure the people's drinking water safety line, and built a strong agricultural production guarantee line, so as to minimize the drought losses.

In order to effectively cope with the drought, Luoshi town has innovated to build a trinity drought relief system of "emergency supply protection + production self rescue + cadre mass linkage", played a "combination fist" of scientific drought relief, and built a "double line" of people's livelihood and production with hard core measures. First, emergency water supply was ensured to stabilize people's livelihood, water source points were explored scientifically, 10 emergency motor wells were drilled, and the average daily water supply was increased by 200 cubic meters; Allocate water storage tanks and pumps for emergency supplies, and set up 2 temporary water supply points in populated areas; Actively coordinate with the county fire brigade, Xiaoqiao police station and other units to deliver water for a total of 39 trains and more than 264 cubic meters to ensure the basic domestic water demand of the people. Second, self-help and stable production have been achieved. More than 120 mu of high-quality upland rice seedlings have been introduced in the agricultural season, and farmers have been helped to plant more than 17260 mu of seedling fields and more than 6107 mu of sorghum corn; Organize agricultural technicians to carry out drought relief guidance for 31 times; More than 10 channels have been dredged to minimize the impact of drought on agricultural production. Third, the cadres and the masses should unite to mobilize the masses to carry out the action of "sharing water sources among neighbors"; Organize and set up volunteer water delivery teams of Party members to deliver water to the door for the masses; The cadres of the whole town sank to the front line, knocked on the door and asked for needs, and fought side by side with the masses.

Up to now, the town has provided more than 20000 people with drinking water and more than 8000 mu of farmland irrigation, laying a solid foundation for the fight against drought.
