Sichuan Ying Shan: Young Children Riding "Wheels of Fire" Win Honors for the First Time

From May 24th to 25th, the "Run, Kids!" 2025 Nanchong Children's Sports (Roller Skating) Exhibition Activity, hosted by the Nanchong Municipal Bureau of Education and Sports in Sichuan Province, was held at the Yilong County Gymnasium. More than 400 young children from 19 kindergartens in various counties (cities, districts) of Nanchong City participated in the exhibition activity. Among them, 42 young children from the Experimental Kindergarten and Hongguang Kindergarten in Ying Shan County took part in this event.

On the competition field, the young children were fully focused and chased each other; beside the field, the waiting children were eager and ready to go; in the stands, the parents watched intently and cheered loudly. The competition was intense. The children dominated the field, demonstrating excellent competitive states and winning warm applause from the on-site audience.

"Although some of the young children who participated in the event had received intravenous drips a couple of days ago, they still persevered and completed the competition," said the team leader of the Experimental Kindergarten in Ying Shan County after the event. Through this event, the young children have accumulated valuable competition experience and identified their technical weaknesses. In the future, the kindergarten will carry out targeted training to improve everyone's roller skating skills.

"This is the first time that Ying Shan County has participated in the exhibition activity. The children stepped onto the competition field for the first time. They remained calm and composed during the competition, demonstrating good psychological qualities, which has pointed out the direction for the next step of roller skating training," said the relevant person in charge of the Ying Shan County Education and Sports Bureau. The bureau will further carry out systematic roller skating training to attract more enthusiasts to join the roller skating team.

It is understood that this roller skating exhibition activity included individual time trials, group obstacle races, and group 30-meter head-on relay races. After two days of intense competition, the rankings were announced. For the first time participating, the Experimental Kindergarten in Ying Shan County won the third prize in both Group A and Group B for the group events, while the Hongguang Kindergarten won the second prize in Group B and the third prize in Group A for the group events.
