On May 20, with an urgent report, the 2025 National Defense Mobilization Drill and the Comprehensive Practical Drill for Flood Control, Earthquake Relief and Disaster Rescue in Yingshan County, Sichuan Province, was launched at Chapan Reservoir in Wanglong Lake Town. Nearly 300 participants from more than 20 units across the county launched a full-scale emergency rescue drill in the "disaster" scenario of torrential rain and blaring alarms. Liu Qicai, Standing Committee Member of the County Party Committee and Political Commissar of the County Military Sub-district, attended the drill and delivered a speech.

At the drill site, members of the Blue Sky Rescue Team carefully checked their diving equipment, making final preparations for water rescue. "Every detail of the equipment is related to the success or failure of the rescue," said a team member while adjusting the equipment. In an instant, the rubber rafts shot across the water like arrows leaving the bow. The rescue team members had sharp eyes and quickly approached the "trapped tourists". With skilled operations, the trapped people were rapidly transferred to a safe area. The tense atmosphere simulated on the shore seemed to bring people into a real disaster scene.

In Community 2 of Chapan, the mountain flood and geological disaster rescue team was staging a "race against time". "The landslide is expanding! All personnel, immediately evacuate along the evacuation route!" Upon receiving the alarm, numerous people quickly evacuated to the resettlement site. Grandma Wang, a 68-year-old "disaster victim", held the hand of a rescue team member and said with emotion, "The drill is just like a real event. Now I know what to do if I really encounter a dangerous situation."

Meanwhile, the drill on campus was equally thrilling. "An earthquake is coming!" Amidst the alarm, students quickly ducked under their desks and protected their heads with books. Their eyes were filled with both nervousness and the calmness of being well-trained. After the "weakening" of the shaking, under the guidance of firefighters, students evacuated in an orderly manner. Their steps were hurried but not chaotic as they quickly ran towards the open area.

This drill simulated three aspects of emergency response and disposal scenarios for sudden events, namely "mountain flood and geological disaster rescue", "establishment of mobile command post and water rescue" and "earthquake rescue", covering key links such as command and dispatch, emergency response, mass evacuation, and disaster rescue. During the drill, all participating units responded quickly, cooperated closely, and achieved remarkable results, demonstrating the rapid response and scientific disposal capabilities of the county's emergency rescue teams.
