Build a Solid Safety Defense Line and Safeguard the Temple of Knowledge

On the afternoon of May 14, Nanchong Film and Television Industry Vocational College held a disaster prevention and mitigation safety training and drill activity in the electronic reading room on the third floor of the library. More than 60 people participated in this activity, including all work-study students in the library, some members of clubs, volunteers, and all librarians.To exercise students' comprehensive abilities, strengthen their safety awareness and initiative, Gao Ran, the president of Yue Readers Association, a university student club guided by the library, was in charge of the training. Teachers from the library provided guidance and supplementary explanations.

Gao Ran explained safety knowledge such as fire prevention, earthquake self-rescue, and flood response. Subsequently, the teacher from the library gave a supplementary speech, emphasizing the importance of safety precautions. The teacher also explained and demonstrated basic first aid measures, introduced the floor plans of each floor of the library, and the distribution of emergency evacuation exits. Considering the characteristic of high population density in the library, the teacher specifically explained how to guide readers to evacuate orderly in case of emergencies to ensure the safe evacuation of every reader. During the practical drill session, teachers from the library led the students to simulate the emergency response process when an emergency occurs. The participants cooperated with each other according to the plan and quickly guided the "readers" to evacuate along the safe passages. The whole drill process was intense and orderly, and each link was well-connected.

The students who participated in the activity said that through this training, they not only mastered safety knowledge but also enhanced their safety awareness and improved their ability to deal with emergencies. In the future work, the library will continue to carry out such safety training activities to create a safer and warmer learning environment for teachers and students.
