Fragrance of Books Protects Seedlings and Blossoms Together

April 23rd marks the 30th World Book Day. On this day, the "Fragrance of Books in Tianfu・Reading in Yingshan" universal reading activity and the "Seedling Protection 2025" Green Bookmark Campaign in Yingshan County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, were officially launched at Hongguang Primary School. More than 500 representatives from relevant county departments, schools, and teachers and students of Hongguang Primary School gathered together to kick off a dual chapter of reading and seedling protection with books as the medium.

At 8:30 a.m., the launch ceremony began with the national anthem. Xinhua Wenxuan Yingshan Branch and China Post Yingshan Branch respectively donated books worth 15,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan to Hongguang Primary School to support the construction of campus reading resources.

"Students, what does 'sweep' refer to? And what about 'strike'?" At the event site, the county media convergence center's "anti-pornography and illegal publications" workstation conducted a special lecture, popularizing knowledge on identifying illegal publications and resisting harmful information to students, and distributed "green bookmarks" and other gifts, advocating green reading and civilized internet use. Gong Yubo from Class 6, Grade 1, said excitedly, "In the future, when I go to the bookstore to buy books, I will definitely check the copyright page first and resolutely resist pirated books!"

Before He Zhiyuan, a student from Class 1, Grade 5 of Hongguang Primary School, finished sharing his reading insights as a representative, light laughter and applause came from the audience. Many students nodded as if recalling their own "dialogue" moments with characters in books. Teachers and students also showcased the charm of the integration of reading and art through cultural performances, handmade newspapers, and paintings.

With the announcement of the launch of the event by a person in charge of the Publicity Department of Yingshan County Committee, it signifies the full-scale launch of the county-wide universal reading series of activities and the "seedling protection" special action. It is understood that this activity is hosted by the Publicity Department of the County Committee and the County "Anti-Pornography and Illegal Publications" Office, undertaken by Hongguang Primary School, and co-organized by the County Education and Sports Bureau, Media Convergence Center, Xinhua Wenxuan and other units.
