From March 24 to 26, the 2025 Gaoping District Primary and Secondary School Students' Track and Field Championships, hosted by the Gaoping District Education and Sports Bureau of Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, was held with great ceremony. Athletes from 35 primary and secondary schools across the district gathered on the sports field for three days of fierce competition. As a leading institution in the regional education sector, Nanchong No. 11 Middle School participated with great enthusiasm and a tenacious spirit of striving, eventually ranking third in the overall team score, fully demonstrating the school's spirit of "unity, striving, and pursuing excellence."
In this sports meet, the school's athletes, under the meticulous guidance of the coaching team, competed bravely and achieved outstanding results. In the track events: Wu Haoxuan won the gold medal in the primary boys' 800 meters; Chen Yutong won the bronze medal in the primary boys' 200 meters; Chen Wei Yi won the gold medal in the junior high girls' 100 meters and the silver medal in the junior high girls' 200 meters; Mao Peng won the gold medal in the senior high boys' 100 meters; Yang Yibo won the bronze medal in the senior high boys' 100 meters; Huang Yufan won two gold medals in the senior high boys' 200 meters and 400 meters. In the field events: Chen Jiale won two gold medals in the junior high boys' shot put and discus throw, and with a throw of 30.36 meters in the discus event, he broke the meet record. Wang Hongyang won the gold medal in the junior high boys' high jump; Zhou Jiaju won the gold medal in the senior high boys' high jump; Xi Decheng won the silver medal in the senior high boys' shot put; Mao Peng won the silver medal in the senior high boys' long jump; Feng Lei won the bronze medal in the senior high boys' discus throw. In the relay events: Chen Yutong, Gong Ruizhe, Zhang Ruiyang, and Zhang Shengrui won the silver medal in the primary boys' 4x100 meters relay; Mao Peng, Yang Yibo, Huang Yufan, and Lv Can, with an excellent time of 43.71 seconds, broke the senior high boys' 4x100 meters relay meet record and won the championship, creating a classic match of the entire event.
The primary school group, participating for the first time, performed brilliantly, achieving one gold, four silver, and one bronze medal, marking a historic breakthrough for the school.
The outstanding achievements were inseparable from the athletes' daily hard training and the team's selfless dedication. Before the competition, the school's track and field team, under the scientific guidance of the physical education teaching and research group, formulated a targeted training plan, overcame the impact of injuries and weather, and prepared fully. The logistics team provided full support for material supply and offered nutritional supplements to the athletes.
