Sichuan Nanchong: Main Cultural and Tourism Activities for the 2025 Spring Festival Announced

This year, Nanchong in Sichuan has meticulously prepared a series of exciting cultural and tourism activities for the Spring Festival. Starting from January 6th, "Langzhong Ancient City Celebrates the New Year, NanChuang Welcomes the Spring" will launch over 80 unique cultural and tourism activities across seven major sections. Visitors can enjoy cultural performances, watch intangible cultural heritage and folk customs, enjoy ticket discounts, savor authentic delicacies, and participate in a variety of public cultural activities, immersing themselves in the festive atmosphere.

2025 Langzhong Ancient City New Year Cultural Series

• Date: January 6th – February 13th, 2025 (16th day of the first lunar month)

Intangible Cultural Heritage Folk Festival "Ji Ma Festival"

• Date: February 11th, 2025 (14th day of the first lunar month)

• Location: Jialing District, Shunqing District, Xichong County

• Content: This folk festival, with a history of over 300 years, involves making Ji Ma lanterns, waving torches, lifting fire dragons, shaking young bamboo, and sending off Ji Ma to pray for a prosperous year and harmony among people.
