Victory Drums Roll! Nearly 700 Senior Students of Nanchong No.11 High School Embark with High Spirits!

“Victory is assured, the college entrance exam will be conquered!” On the morning of June 7, the first day of the national college entrance exam (Gaokao), Nanchong No.11 High School held a grand send-off ceremony to cheer on its senior students and boost their morale.

As dawn broke, buses labeled “Gaokao Special Transport” were neatly parked on the school playground, quietly awaiting the students. At the school gate, banners symbolizing “success at one go” fluttered gently in the wind. All school leaders and teachers wore red T-shirts, a color representing good fortune, to bless the students and wish them outstanding results.

The ceremony began with Principal Yi Yanfa solemnly presenting the expedition flag to Chen Xing, head of the senior grade. This flag-handover ritual symbolized the school’s recognition and expectations for the students’ hard work, igniting their fighting spirit to conquer the Gaokao.

Vice Principal Chai Yan, in charge of the senior grade, delivered an inspiring speech. He encouraged the students to remain calm, stay confident, and face the challenge with composure, while extending his best wishes to them.

Next, representatives of each subject’s teaching team took the stage one by one, offering heartfelt and subject-specific parting words to the students they had accompanied day and night. Each word was filled with deep affection, reflecting the teachers’ boundless care and high hopes, and was met with warm applause from the audience.

Amid the stirring beats of drums and the resounding sound of horns, at 7:55 a.m., the senior students boarded the buses in an orderly manner. With Principal Yi Yanfa’s command, the fleet of buses, carrying hopes and dreams, slowly drove out of the school gate. 

On both sides of the road, teachers, students, and parents waved and watched with emotion, while the drum and horn team played uplifting melodies with great vigor. The students, carrying blessings from their juniors and the expectations of their teachers and families, embarked on their journey to this pivotal life examination, accompanied by the powerful rhythm of the drums.

Principal Yi Yanfa shared his heartfelt message: “A decade of sharpening the sword, today its edge will be tested. May the dream-chasing students of No.11 High School overcome all challenges, celebrate triumphant news, and achieve outstanding results!
