Sichuan Yingshan: Travel Time from County Town to Qingshui Lake Wetland Park Shortened to 12 Minutes

On December 31st, the acceptance ceremony for the Yingshan County to Qingshui Lake Tourism Highway PPP project in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, was held in the Taoran Hall of Tiansheng Hotel. The project successfully passed the acceptance inspection, signifying the completion of the construction tasks and the imminent full-line opening to traffic.

The road, featuring a wide and flat surface with six lanes in both directions and trees standing proudly in the median strip, was inspected by the acceptance team and relevant county-level department personnel before the meeting. The main line of the project starts at Furong Avenue in the county town and ends at the already constructed Qingshui Lake Wetland Park Avenue in Dingzi Village. The total length of the highway is 12.87 kilometers, with an estimated investment of 797 million yuan. The main line is constructed to the standard of a first-class highway with six lanes, a roadbed width of 31 meters, and a designed speed of 80 kilometers per hour.

"The project commenced in October 2022 and, after withstanding the impact of the pandemic and extreme high temperatures, The construction tasks of K1 line have been successfully completed," the acceptance meeting heard summaries from construction, supervision, design, and construction units on the project's status, announced the project's quality inspection opinions, discussed and passed the acceptance report, and agreed that the Yingshan County to Qingshui Lake Tourism Highway construction project passed the acceptance inspection, signing the acceptance certificate.

It is understood that the Yingshan County to Qingshui Lake Tourism Highway is a scenic road connecting the county town to Qingshui Lake Wetland Park, an important arterial road in the northwest of the county, and a fast channel connecting Langying Expressway to the county town and Qingshui Lake Wetland Park, belonging to a municipal key project. The road is expected to officially open to traffic in mid-January 2025, and after opening, the travel time from Yingshan County to Qingshui Lake Wetland Park will only take about 12 minutes, saving 20 minutes compared to before.

"After the completion of the Yingshan County to Qingshui Lake Tourism Highway acceptance, the project enters the liability defect period. We will supervise the project party to regularly inspect and check the constructed projects as required, promptly discover quality defects, report and repair them in time, and coordinate with relevant units to strengthen road maintenance management, implement road traffic safety supervision responsibilities, continue to strengthen publicity and education, and road surface control to ensure the maximum economic and social benefits," said Wen Limin, Director of Yingshan County Transportation Bureau and Director of the Tourism Road Office.
