Young Painter Du Junjie Appointed as the Sixth Special Artist by Sichuan Poetry and Calligraphy Academy

Recently, there has been good news from the art community in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. National First-Class Artist Du Junjie, known for his profound artistic accomplishment and unique creative style, has been officially appointed as the sixth special artist by the Sichuan Poetry and Calligraphy Academy after being reviewed by a panel of experts organized by the academy. This honor is not only a high recognition of his personal artistic achievements but also adds luster to the art community of Nanchong.

Du Junjie has been deeply involved in the field of Chinese painting for many years, with his works covering various aspects such as flower-and-bird, landscape, and figure painting. His works are highly praised by the industry and beloved by collectors for their delicate brushwork, unique perspectives, and profound connotations.

Upon being appointed as the sixth artist of the Sichuan Poetry and Calligraphy Academy, Du Junjie expressed his intention to actively participate in the academy's various creative and exchange activities. Du Junjie, born in 1979 in Yilong, Sichuan, studied under Mr. Sun Qifeng and completed his education at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and the National Defense University's College of Military Culture. He is a deputy researcher and painter at the Ministry of Culture's Chinese Painting Creation Research Institute, a director of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Friendship Association, a researcher at the Sun Qifeng Painting and Calligraphy Art Research Institute, a special painter at the Jinmen Painting and Calligraphy Academy, a painter at the Beijing Hanhong Painting and Calligraphy Academy, vice chairman of the Beijing Sichuan Artists and Calligraphers Friendship Association, and a national first-class artist. He has held numerous solo and joint exhibitions, and his paintings and calligraphy works are published in various professional newspapers and magazines. He has also been exhibited and awarded in national and military painting and calligraphy competitions. As a signed painter with galleries and art institutions, his Chinese paintings have been collected by art institutions and individuals, including as national gifts to foreign guests.
