Sichuan Nanchong: Cultural and Tourism Market Booms on the First Day of Qingming Holiday, with Over 200,000 Visitors to A-level Scenic Spots
On the first day of the Qingming holiday, the cultural and tourism market in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, saw a mini-peak. According to statistics from the Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, a total of 205,600 visitors were received by the city's A-level tourist attractions, generating ticket revenue of 698,700 yuan. Cultural venues also held activities both online and offline, serving a cumulative total of 32,365 people, with online activities receiving 20,289 clicks.
With spring in full swing, sightseeing and flower viewing became the top choices for citizens and tourists. Three Qingming sightseeing routes launched by Nanchong's cultural and tourism authorities were highly popular, with family day trips and surrounding tours continuing to heat up. Langzhong Ancient City received 31,300 visitors on the day. In Xichong County, more than 1,200 acres of peonies in Xianlin Town were in full bloom, and the cherry blossom track in Peng'an attracted many visitors to stop and admire the flowers. Camping sites such as Shunqing's Qipingzhai, Gaoping's Fengyiwan, and Jialing's Tonghuagou were crowded with people, who enjoyed the springtime in the natural landscape.
During the Qingming Festival, the popularity of red tourism continued to rise. Red tourist spots such as the Zhu De's Hometown Scenic Area, Zhang Lan Memorial Hall, and Luo Ruiqing Memorial Hall held activities to pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs and inherit the red genealogy. The Zhu De's Hometown Scenic Area in Yilong received 29,600 visitors on the day, with tourists paying their respects to the great man through flower basket offerings and silent oaths.
At the same time, cultural venue activities were rich and colorful. The city library held poetry recitation events themed "Poetic Qingming・Mourning Heroes" and a month-long reading campaign with stamp collection and check-in activities. The city museum launched a non-heritage experience activity titled "Making Perfume Tokens・Expressing Longing," attracting many citizens and tourists to participate.
To ensure the safety and stability of the cultural and tourism market during the holiday, the city's culture and tourism departments strictly implemented a 24-hour duty system and increased law enforcement and supervision. On the first day of the holiday, a total of 56 inspectors were dispatched to check 90 business units.
